• Connection Issue Fixed - 9 October 2018

  Connection issues for Community Garden have been fixed. Thanks to RaptorAF for your help troubleshooting the problem! I recommend using a hardwire connection rather than wifi to improve your experience.

  In an continued effort to make Community Garden more stable and playable, I've pushed a bunch on bug fixes and improvements. Check it out and keep reporting those bugs! Bug Fixes ------------- * Fixed the issue when multiple players were online, controller tracking would be broken for most players * Fixed dynamic lighting * Fixed basketball texturing issue Improvements ------------- * Players now start with 100% health * Players health deteriorates at half the speed * Added back vending machines * Added more food to the world

  I've been a bit silent lately thinking about the direction of Community Garden. Getting a large scale persistent world working in VR was no easy task. While this was a first for VR and cool, it’s not very fun. Now that I have a platform to build on, my goal is to create a fun experience for players. Survival Gameplay ------------ In order to provide more gameplay elements to Community Garden, I’ve added survival gameplay. Players must eat to stay alive. You're health will degrade over time. You will know how hungry you are by your field of view and the sound of your stomach. If you fail to eat, you will die and return to your apartment. Food is scattered around the world but is found in greater density in certain places. New controls ----------------- You can now choose between blink teleport and instant teleport.   For those who have been supporting what Community Garden is trying to do, I thank you. This game is the product of many years of hard work by a single developer attempting to push the boundaries of what’s possible virtual reality with platform not built for VR. My goals for Community Garden are grand; create a world much like the OASIS from Ready Player One where players can be a part of something big. SpatialOS takes a lot of the backend server work out of the equation, but there is still a lot of work required to realize this dream. Some of you may have noticed the price increase from free to $19.99. I made this change after much consideration. I made Community Garden free when first launching to Early Access to allow as many people as possible to be apart of the next evolution of VR worlds. Unfortunately, building such a world requires money to survive. Thanks again for your help ide…
