• Ignis Universia's sequel is now live in Kickstarter! - 5 February 2022

  The Ignis Universia sequel, Awakening of the Erudite Empress, is live in Kickstarter! Yes, we already tried Kickstarter in the summer and fell short of the funding goal pretty significantly, so why do we believe we'll make it this time? There are several things that have changed in the past few months, the most notable being that the game is a lot closer to completion than it was back then. We received a lot of feedback from the demo during the Kickstarter and the subsequent Steam Next Fest and adjusted the design accordingly (here's some more info on that).   Ignis Universia: Awakening of the Erudite Empress is in Steam Next Fest starting in 1st October. We have announced the first live stream where Ignis Universia's designer Arto (Twitter: @arzi42) is playing the demo. If you have any questions of the game, you can send them in advance or ask while game is streamed here! The 2nd stream will be on Mon 4th October at 10am(PDT)/1pm(EDT)/7pm(CEST)/2am(JST) If you have played the earlier demo, we have made several updates that makes it worth to play the demo again. The biggest update is a minimap implementation but we have also done level design changes and there will also be an easter egg to find out!

  We are happy to announce that we are soon starting a Kickstarter campaign for Ignis Universia: Awakening of the Erudite Empress! What to expect of the game? Tactical but straightforward, turn-based battle system Cute summonable creatures Lovable, 4th wall breaking cast of characters Relaxing gameplay that combines Visual Novel and JRPG genres Ignis Universia is a mixture of the traditional JRPG form with an isometric 3D view and Visual Novel style dialogue with branching narrative. During the dungeon adventure gameplay the player explores levels, talks to NPCs and solves puzzles with the help of the special powers each of the Sisters have, while the Visual Novel dialogue segments tie these together. • Ignis Universia Patch 1 Released - 8 December 2020

  New patch was released that should help with taking the screenhots. There is now a new option button in the menu screen that changes which keys advance the dialogue. The options are the old mode (all keys + mouse) or a set of keys (space, enter and c). This does not affect any other controls in the game, only the dialogue.

• Localization Information - 3 December 2020

  Hey all! We've been asked about localised versions for some languages, and we, unfortunately, can't offer official localisations at this point. But: We added support for modifying the game's text files, which players translate the game if they want to. We also added a couple of font options, one for extended Latin characters (the current font we use only supports the very basic English ones) and a Japanese font. (The translation in the image is courtesy of Google Translate, so please don't judge ^_^' ) There are a couple of limitations for now. The game uses two different fonts, but the localisations support only one, so a couple of text might look a bit weird Text in images can't be changed We'll post detailed instructions on how to access the needed files and edit them near release.

• MacOS Version Upcoming! - 25 November 2020

  We're now working (well, Arto is) on the Mac build and it's starting to look good. There are some small bugs still (like the cursor you see in the picture), but they should be ironed out soon enough. As you can see, Arto's Mac has seen better days, but it's still in good enough shape to churn out a build or two.
