This time we are working towards accessibility. Ever since release people have been asking for slight tweaks of the controls, besides just the standard rebinding. So, what’s new? New parts! The punch rocket and anti-gravity mine can now be unlocked. Find the upgrade cube somewhere in the world. Robots have been tweaked. Barrels have been changed and the snipers can now actually hit you! The final boss battle has been changed back to the original intended showdown. Dull places have been filled with more bots. Many bug fixes And to top it all off, we have the summer sale! BLuRT is now 15% off. Happy summer, everyone!

• One big chunk of news - 1 June 2018

  In the last couple of weeks I hinted a little about new content and today might be a good moment to start teasing a little. But that is not the only thing on the horizon. A lot of bots will be tweaked to aim better and a lot of the code will be optimized too in the near future. This will all be done in 1 big update, to make sure everything is working well together. And finally, you can now buy all Obsessive Science Games’s games on Steam in 1 convenient package. You can now get Detective Hank and the Golden Sneeze together with BadLands RoadTrip with 15% off.

• 60 fps smoothness is here! - 19 April 2018

  More optimizations this week! BLuRT just got updated to v1.03 which includes a huge fps boost! If your PC is up to it (mid, high range), you can now play BLuRT in 60 fps or higher. A lot of frame drops have been addressed too, so your experience should be even smoother. What has been fixed this week: World is managed better in memory, resulting in a higher frame rate. Gun construction takes less clock cycles for faster robot spawns. Lifts and trains had a small tweak for smoother operation. Floating train rails have been mostly addressed. Several nasty frame drops on the client side of the game have been fixed. Several minor redundant code cycles have been removed. This update paves the way to a 'directors cut.' A lot of fights with bots have been scrapped, because the optimization was not up to it, especially on the final fight. I plan on putting those bots back into the game. I am not…

• First update! - 12 April 2018

  It’s time for BluRT’s first update! Here’s what’s new: Frame drops at enemy loading have been greatly reduced, Chinese translation had text boxes that would not go away, now they close properly. Font in the main menu is changed, because it did not display the Spanish translation correctly When completing a quest, the reward is shown near ‘Quest Complete’ The language select screen now has every language written in its own language, so you don’t have to speak another language to choose your own language. ...and there is more to come! This way I can fix most bugs as soon as possible after release. But you can post just about anything related to BadLands RoadTrip, like fanart or a cool story you had with the game. I'll be keeping a close eye on the forums and aim to reply as soon as possible, especially on bug reports. I'll see you there!
