- Animal Update - 17 January 2019
Hey All, The animals have been out of the game for many months now and I am pleased to announce that they have been finally re-implemented in today's patch. Please let me know how it is all working for everyone. I have done some preliminary testing with some people I work with internally and it has been pretty positive so far. - January Update - 15 January 2019
January Update! The January update is pretty huge, I'm not going to lie. In the January update, we have added the ability for players to easily host their own servers for friends and family. All you have to do is click the "Host Game" button. Once you press this button, you are loaded into the map, and other players can join. No network configuration, no port forwarding, nothing. However, these servers are dependent on the person who created them. If the owner logs out, then the server goes down! Second, we have also made the keybindings more obvious. Forward, and backwards are now properly labeled. Before this update, every keybind for forward, and backward movement was labeled as "Move Forward." Voice chat has been implemented, but still needs to go through further testing. Any feedback from players would be greatly appreciated. If you have any other suggestions for changes, feel free…

- Servers - 7 November 2018
Hello All, Due to the lack of playerbase, and the lack of interest. I am going to be taking all veritex servers down and development will cease. As a business, I cannot continue to sink money into servers with zero players. It is not financially stable. However, if you would like to host your own server you can do so by downloading the Windows executable below. You need the following ports opened, as well a Steam installed on the server machine. Ports: 7777 7778 7779 27014 27015 I will be taking a journey on a new project. I have learned a great deal from this project. Everything from early marketing, to play testing, to listening to player feedback. We will try to do better next time, and will continually improve our craft. Thanks for those of you who played. You can download the server here: https://playveritex.com/builds/WindowsServer.zip You can follow my personal twitter account he…

Change Smelting Timer from 30 Seconds to 15 Seconds Dropped Item Widget Should not show up miles away Fade from White when spawning / respawning CampFires, and Storage Boxes turn into "Bags" when out of range/loaded in slowly because their health = 0. Snow Biome has no food or water HotKey: Drop all Inventory Items to Bag. Make Health and other icons A LOT smaller. Should not take up more than a small corner of the screen Dropping an equipped item while it is equipped doesn't destroy / unequip the item. Add List of…

- 4/20/2018 Update - 20 April 2018
Hey everyone! Pretty big update today. Here is all the issues that have been fixed! https://github.com/Bdoom/Veritex/issues/65 Not to mention that we now have a working single player mode, and all actions should work in first and third person now. If these fixes are working, and valid. We will be reintroducing the animals and mobs back into the game. Once this has been done, we can finally attempt to start adding more FUN features such as caves, and improvements to the world itself. Good luck everyone, and happy surviving. The 4/20/2018 update should be out in a few hours. Thanks, ~Bdoom
- Update 4/11/2018 - 11 April 2018
Hello Veritex community! Please check out our github for all resolved issues since last release. https://github.com/Bdoom/Veritex/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed Some of the fixed issues are not documented. Some of which are directly related to technical issues with which would not be understandable to the average player. I hope everyone enjoys this release and gives honest feedback. Once we get everything up and running, we can add new features! Thanks, ~Bdoom
- 3/28/2018 Update - 28 March 2018
Hello Everyone, The latest version of Veritex has no persistancy on the server. This essentially means that your player data will not be saved to a database currently. The old implementation of the database caused massive issues on production servers. This was the main cause of lag, however there are a few issues. These changes are completely based around the back end and would not be obvious to players. Once optimizations are fixed, the goal will be to implement more "gameplay" fixes, and then finally, add more features. Thanks for reading!

- Update - 16 March 2018
Hello Everyone, The release was not what I expected! I'm sorry everyone. The server was only able to handle what seemed like at maximum 8 concurrent users before taking a big dive with lag. I will need to look into the server, optimize it, and this WILL take time. If you have any questions, you can still join our Discord and chat. These issues are mostly based around Net code based on initial analysis. Thanks, Bdoom
