  It is with regret that we announce the shuttering of Psydra Games. Soon, our game Mike Dies will no longer be available for purchase. • Mike Dies is a game about fatal teleporter accidents - 29 March 2018

  I thought I knew every way a game could use teleportation systems. Sometimes they're a central feature, like in the Portal series. Sometimes teleportation is a high-level ability or cheesy bonus—in Heroes of Might and Magic 3, a high-tier Mage Guild with Dimension Door can send you hopping around the map and, if you're lucky enough to have Town Portal and Expert Earth Magic, your cities can effectively be protected by one hero. Teleportation can also be used creatively in games like Divinity: Original Sin when you realize that dropping an enemy onto an oil surface both causes damage and primes them for ignition. Or, as my friend and I discovered, teleportation can be used to hurl each other through a difficult area we'd accidentally wandered into while too low-level for it. Mike Dies , however, is not designed around the act or consequences of instantaneous travel…

  Patch 1.02 is live! - Renamed 'Middle Man' to 'Two Paths Meet' - Moved platform up a bit at the bottom of Save Word - Reduced the length of the asteroid pachinko level by half - Kill Gates no longer kills player if they jump into the wall after the ceiling has descended - Pause menu actually pauses gameplay - Lowered moving plat sound in angel premonition room - Fixed credits typo "Desginer of a Single Level Name" - Death prompt will never appear while Mike is alive - Death (ragdoll) momentum now applied independent of framerate - Performance optimizations for minimizing memory allocations - Jump extended by 1 frame in low-framerate scenarios If you run into any bugs please be sure to report them to us on our discord server. https://discord.gg/3rT62H8 Thanks for all your support!

  We just released a new build of Mike Dies with the following bug fixes: - Mike no longer glows after freezing to death - The asteroid in "Seal the Deal" plays impact sounds - Moving the mouse no longer skips the credits sequence - Moved some rooms from Monkey Block to Turtle Block - Updated Rewired plugin - Changed the label on the option for "Dramatic Deaths" to "Slow Motion Deaths" - Hopefully made it impossible to soft lock the Pause Menu - You can now immediately reset after dying even with the Slow Motion Deaths option enabled - Beam portal in "Underpass" no longer excludes Mike's foot while he's running - Unstable energy in "Ballroom" receded into floor so Mike's foot isn't severed - "Wave Dash" is now more casual and less wave-y Huge thanks to all the Streamers who helped us track all these down! ːFistpumpː
