We did PROGETTO USTICA with the support of Associazione Parenti delle Vittime della Strage di Ustica. They asked us not to put the real faces, the real bodies, of their dead relatives in the game. - RAMSTEIN, 1988 - 28 August 2018
Rammstein is a German industrial metal band formed in 1994. The band took its name from the August 28th, 1988 Ramstein air show crash. The incident was caused by a collision between three Italian aircrafts during an exhibition flight of the legendary Frecce Tricolore. Mario Naldini and Ivo Nutarelli, expert pilots and instructors, died that day. Naldini and Nutarelli, on the evening of June 27th, 1980, signaled a coded alarm, supposedly because they intercepted one or more foreign fighters covertly flying in the Italian airspace. Shortly after, the Itavia DC9 was hit by a missile of unknown origin. Was Ramstein an accident? We paid particular attention to the aircrafts involved in the scenario.
