- Dev Diary #1 - 15 December 2017
Greeting Competitors! It has been an exciting two weeks supporting the rollout of The Promethium Effect! We're thrilled to see players invested with hundreds of hours in the game, as well as great contributions in the forums. The Promethium Effect is only going to get bigger, and better as time rolls on, and you can bet we will be incorporating many of the requests we've seen in the forums. Here's what's coming up soon (in order of planned releases): 1. An in-game tutorial for new players to get them acquainted with the way the game works. 2. The ability to look at your attack history and the riches stolen from others. 3. Leaderboards. 4. Steam Achievements 5. Full controller support. Currently, a controller can be used to steer the ship in the asteroid field, but interacting with the interface otherwise relies on the use of a mouse. - Update: Defense Wall and Defense Ship Upgrades Persist Through Prestige - 12 December 2017
Start building up your shield wall and defense fleet! Because now your upgrade progress will persist through every prestige level! No more starting from level 0! In this update we also fixed a bug causing the shield wall to reset to 0 every time the game reloads. Yay! Make sure to download the update to enjoy the new feature! Cheers! -ZG Team

- 6x Diamonds in the Diamond Shop and Bug Fixes Update - 11 December 2017
Greetings Competitors! The newest update includes some minor bug fixes with certain price displays, as well as patches a bug that made prestige-ing way too easy for some players. In the diamond shop, you'll find that your purchase power has been multiplied by 6, and each purchase gets you 6 TIMES more diamonds. Thanks for playing The Promethium Effect and contributing in the forums. Who says the holidays are just for earth-bound humans? Through December, we are offering a limited combination Christmas Tree skin for your ship and 100 Diamonds for 99 cents! Did we mention it shoots some hefty Christmas lights? Once purchased, the ship can be equipped in a new "Purchases" room that can be accessed through the Upgrades screen. - Diamond Rewards In Asteroid Field - 30 November 2017
You spoke, we listened! Diamonds are the premium currency in the game, and it was excessively difficult to acquire them in the asteroid field. But now, we have incorporated a diamond reward into your level progression. For every two NEW levels you reach, you will be awarded a diamond! We've also reconfigured the random galaxy stats so that the chance of finding random diamonds in the field is even higher (depending on the galaxy you are in). You spoke, we listened! Diamonds are the premium currency in the game, and it was excessively difficult to acquire them in the asteroid field.
