• 2.2.0 is released! - 9 September 2026

  Updated leaderboards: Until now, it was not possible to see your score if you are out of the top places. Now you can see your score no matter what your place is.

• 2.1.0 is released! - 7 January 2026

  Changes:Sharper, crisper sprites and in-game visuals.Fixed a bug that briefly froze the game when a round began.Reduced CPU load by optimizing the code for better performance.

• Mr. Barrel gets a huge update! - 30 April 2025

  This huge update features; Transition to a new game engine for smoother gameplay experience. Much better contrast between the background and the enemies, before it was quite hard to distinguish them. Smooth and juicy animations for enemies and drinks. New enemy types. New instructions supported with visuals. Much better UI and texts. New sound and music. Reworked Steam leaderboards view that includes avatars of the players. Now you can see your progress for the achievements New graphic assets and an icon.

• Mr. Barrel has been fully released! - 10 July 2019

  As of today, Mr. Barrel has left the Early Access and has been fully released. However, it will continue to receive updates, such as a new game mode in the future. Thank you.

• End of the Early Access is near - 6 July 2019

  Mr. Barrel is going to leave Early Access next week. The has been developed a lot (but not enough) since its first launch, and now it is finally going to leave Early Access behind it. This doesn't mean that the game won't receive any major updates anymore, there are still some big feature plans for the game's future. Thank you.

• Mr. Barrel is now free-to-play! - 19 March 2018

  Mr. Barrel is now became a free-to-play title and will always be. There are also some new features that the game now has 25 achievements, which was before 11. And a paid DLC called "Mr. Barrel - Gold" is now available which will unlock two new characters and a golden text in the leaderboards (coming soon) for the DLC owners. Other than these new features, the game is still in early access which means there are more features to be added by time. Thank you. With my regards, Fürst.

• Mr. Barrel has received its 3rd mode! - 12 February 2018

  As of today, I am proud to announce that Mr. Barrel now has its 3rd mode called as "restaurant II." This mode shares the same area as the original restaurant mode, but has different conditions and rules. I would like to state that this mode is not the last and I hope that you will like it.
