- New build has been released - 6 June 2026
Hi everyone, I know it's been a while, but I thought I'd give you an update. It took me longer than it probably should, but I've pushed a new build of Blackberry Honey on Steam which fixes up some stuff, including: - fixes to a variety of interesting typos people have pointed out over the years - some slight edits to a few transition effects - a couple of updated sound effects - a rehaul of how side sprites are defined in-game, so they should dissolve in and out more smoothly - a fix to a bug which could brick your save when saving on a certain in-game day while playing with Japanese text enabled The game should also be compatible with the Steam deck now, though Steam hasn't reviewed the new build yet, and I should have fixed a bug which prevented the game from opening on Linux. The game should be more polished now. I hope that more people will be able to enjoy Blackberry Honey, and tha…
- Sequel game to Blackberry Honey, Bittersweet Blossoms, is now finished! - 15 May 2026
Hi everyone! I'm just making a quick post to let you know that my newest yuri visual novel, Bittersweet Blossoms, is now finished 🎉Bittersweet Blossoms is a sequel to Blackberry Honey, as you should be able to tell from the title of this post haha. It's a bit of a strange sequel, in that it's set a good 50+ years after the events of BH and features a (mostly) brand new cast of characters, but I think it does a good job wrapping up some loose plot threads from the end of BH regardless. Bittersweet Blossoms features a slowburn romance between a mistress and her maid! The VN isn't out yet, but I'm hoping to release it at the end of June! You can wishlist the sequel on Steam right now, and you can check out my twitter if you want to keep abreast of any updates! As always, thank you for your support over the years, It's appreciated! I'll keep working hard to make more yuri visual novels tha…
- Cute yuri visual novel The Demon Queen's Dire Dilemma has been released! - 26 February 2026
Hello everyone! I'm writing a quick post to let you all know that my cute comedic yuri visual, The Demon Queen's Dire Dilemma, has been released! It's a very silly and light-hearted story about an adorable- um, I mean, very scary and fierce demon queen, Lady Asmodeus, as she tries to make her ditzy human maid, Lisette, fear her. Will Asmodeus succeed, or will Lisette manage to get the better of her? You'll have to read the visual novel to find out 👀 You can find the visual novel on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3446430/The_Demon_Queens_Dire_Dilemma/ This VN also takes place in the same universe as my previously released BL visual novel My Confounding Cat is Criminally Cute, so you might want to check them both out if you want to spot some of the cameos and references. Both Demon Queen and Confounding Cat are standalone stories, however, so you don't need to read them b…
- The Demon Queen's Dire Dilemma will be released soon! - 7 February 2026
Hi everyone, I'm making a quick announcement to let you know that I'll be releasing a shiny new yuri visual novel, The Demon Queen's Dire Dilemma, on Steam Soon™! The Demon Queen's Dire Dilemma is a short comedy story about a failgirl demon queen who's trying (and failing) to get her ditzy human maid to fear her. Lady Asmodeus is supposed to be a terrifying, all-powerful despot, so why does Lisette enjoy doting on her so much?! What's going on?!?!?! The VN is mostly finished, and a near complete build has been approved for release by Steam. The VN just needs another round of quality checking, and then it can be released! I'm not sure when the QC will be finished, but I'm hoping to release the VN either late Feb or early March. If you want to be notified when the VN is out, you can wishlist it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3446430/The_Demon_Queens_Dire_Dilemma/ And Demon Queen…
- Cute yuri visual novel Out of the Ocean has been released! - 16 January 2026
Hello everyone, I'm making an announcement to let you know that my cute yuri visual novel, Out of the Ocean, has been released! It's a cute and wholesome story with two love interests (including a mermaid girl), a potential poly ending, and a whole load of adorable art! If you want to read something relaxing and light-hearted, then this is the visual novel for you. It's pretty sweet (though there is a little dash of drama), and I'm very happy with how it turned out! It's actually one of my longest yuri visual novels, since it sits at around 150k and it has multiple choices/endings, so that's exciting hehe :) If you like this sort of format, please let me know. I've been thinking about making some more long yuri visual novels with multiple heroines, choices, and branching, so if this visual novel does well, I might create other VNs like this in the future with longer, more detailed…
- Out of the Ocean demo has been updated! - 8 December 2025
Hi everyone, I'm writing a quick post to let you know that I've been hard at work these last couple of months on my cute yuri visual novel feat. a mermaid girl, Out of the Ocean. The VN is very close to being finished, and it's been fully coded and edited save for one ending out of a possible five. I'm still waiting on one art asset and the finalised trailer, but other than that, the VN is done. I'm hoping I'll be able to release it some time in December, but as we're nearing the end of the year and the winter sales will soon be upon us, I'm not sure if I'll need to push back the estimated release date until January 2026. I did upload a shiny new demo of the visual novel to Steam, however, which is a little longer than the older demo. In addition to have a few extra scenes, the new demo is a little more polished in terms of visual effects and music placement, and there's an early 'bad e…
- Her Love, Like Poison has been released! - 28 July 2025
Hi everyone! I'm just making a quick post to let you know that my spooky yuri visual novel, Her Love, Like Poison, has been released! If you've read any of my other yuri VNs, then Her Love, Like Poison might look familiar. The character art is by the same artist of my previously released yandere yuri visual novel, It gets so lonely here, and the UI is in a similar style. I wrote Her Love, Like Poison pretty soon after finishing up Lonely (I must have been in the mood for more toxic yuri set in the woods), so while the two stories are unrelated, they might be a little bit similar tone-wise. In any case, I hope you enjoy the story if you do check it out! It's quite a short game, so it's priced accordingly (it's $6.99 with a 10% launch discount). You can pick it up here if you're interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3412620/ As always, thank you for your support over the years! I…
- Cage of Roses has been released! - 16 February 2025
Hello everyone! I'm writing a quick announcement to let you know that my newest VN, Cage of Roses, has finally been released! I say 'finally' because I wrote the script for this VN all the way back in early 2021. It took about 4 years for me to get this project pieced together, but I'm very glad that I stuck with it until the bitter end! I think the art by Rock CR and the music by Sarah Mancuso is especially lovely, and it really adds to the overall atmosphere of the story. They really went all-in on the pretty visuals and the ominous, eerie music, and I think it all comes together really nicely! It's been a dream of mine to write a spooky vampire story for over a decade, and I'm very happy I was finally able to do that. I hope I did the idea justice! You can check out the VN here if you're interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2993720 Please let me know if you run into any bug…
- Announcing a few new yuri VNs - 10 January 2025
Hi everyone! \o/ I'm just making a quick announcement to let you know I'm working on a couple of shiny new yuri VNs (when am I ever not working on yuri VNs tbh haha...) The first on the list is Her Love, Like Poison! It's a dour little VN set in the English countryside during the winter, so it'll be very bleak and cold and miserable! It's a story about a university student, Ethel, who's struggling to muster up the enthusiasm to work on her thesis while girlrotting in her parents' home in a teeny-tiny village. Stuck for inspiration, she goes for a wander in the woods late at night, and has an encounter with a mysterious girl who might be more than she seems. This is a spooky VN with some sexual themes and body horror elements. It goes some rather dark places, but I don't think it's too unpleasantly awful. The character art was also done by the artist of It gets so lonely here! You can wi…
- Clear Skye Thinking has been released! - 14 May 2024
Hi everyone! I'm writing a quick post to let you know that my cute yuri VN, Clear Skye Thinking, has been released! It's a wholesome slice of life story set on the Scottish Isle of Skye, which follows a lolita protagonist called Alice as she meets and falls in love with the cheerful tomboy Piper. You can check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2939470 The story takes place in Skye and shows off various tourist locations on the island (such as Dunscaith Castle and Neist Point lighthouse), while also developing the relationship between Alice and Piper. It's a sweet, fairly short story which can probably be completed in around 3 hours by a fast reader. There's no mature content, and it's all quite light and fluffy. Tonally, I think it's rather similar to All the Words She Wrote or The Fairy's Song, if you want a reference point. I hope you enjoy it if you do choose to check i…
- Cute yuri VN Clear Skye Thinking available to wishlist \o/ - 28 April 2024
Hello everyone! \o/ I’m writing a quick announcement to let you know that the Steam store page for my upcoming slice of life yuri VN, Clear Skye Thinking, is now up! Clear Skye Thinking is a cute all ages story about a young girl, Alice, who goes on holiday to the Scottish Isle of Skye with her father during the summer holidays. While in Skye Alice meets the cheerful tomboy Piper, and they both go around the island examining the various tourist spots, from the ruins of Dunscaith Castle to the lush gardens at Armdale. It’s a sweet, slow-paced story about exploration and adventure, and (with some luck) I’ll be able to release it within the next couple of months. You can wishlist it here if that sounds like your sort of thing: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2939470/Clear_Skye_Thinking/ - ebi x
- Fragile Feelings released on Steam - 12 October 2023
Hello everybody! \o/ I'm writing a post to let you know that I've released a shiny new yuri VN on Steam, Fragile Feelings! Fragile Feelings is a romance story about a shy young teacher and a gothic school nurse. It’s set in an isolated all-girls’ boarding school in the Japanese countryside and it has a relaxing, soothing atmosphere. The story does contain some serious moments, but it's generally positive in tone. Out of all of my previously released yuri VNs, it's probably the most similar to Blackberry Honey, even if the setting is pretty different. Ann and Kohaku have more than a few things in common with Lorina and Taohua, haha ;; If you want to read something sweet and sapphic, please consider checking it out! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2025700 Thank you for all of your support over the years! It's appreciated! - ebi x
- Yuri VN The Fairy's Secret released on Steam - 7 February 2023
Hi everyone! \o/ I’m writing this announcement to let you know that I've recently released a sequel to my cute yuri VN The Fairy’s Song called The Fairy’s Secret! The Fairy’s Secret is a linear visual novel set in modern day England which centres around the relationship between a grumpy goth and her medieval knight girlfriend. The story is of a similar length to the original Fairy’s Song and it has a similar tone. It’s quite a light-hearted story, for the most part, though there are some fantasy elements and a few moments of intrigue and mystery. The VN is available in both English and Simplified Chinese, and a German translation might happen in the future if the sales are strong enough to support it. If you enjoyed The Fairy’s Song and wanted to read more about Marnie’s adventures, then you should enjoy The Fairy’s Secret! You can buy it on Steam here, if you’re interested: https://sto…
- Yuri VN Dreamy Planet released on Steam - 16 September 2022
Hi, everyone! I'm writing a post to let you know that my newest yuri VN, Dreamy Planet, has been released on Steam! Dreamy Planet follows a troubled young woman called Haruka, who feels trapped in a loveless relationship with a man her parents introduced to her. Haruka is determined to make this relationship work for her parents’ sake, who are desperate for grandchildren, even if it kills her. Secretly, however, Haruka harbours feelings towards her childhood friend, Shiina, whom she hasn’t seen in several years. Eventually, Shiina gets back into contact with Haruka, and suggests that the pair catch up at one of their favourite childhood haunts: the theme park Dreamy Planet, which has since closed down and fallen into ruin. Will Shiina and Haruka’s relationship meet a similar fate, or will old feelings between them be rekindled? Dreamy Planet is quite sombre in tone, but it's not all doo…
- Salome's Kiss released on Steam - 29 April 2022
Hi everyone! I’m just writing a post to let you know that my newest yuri visual novel, Salome’s Kiss, has been released on Steam. Salome is a visual novel that shares a few similarities with Blackberry Honey, given it’s set in the Victorian era, and it also includes a couple of cute maids in the cast. Salome also stars a somewhat shy, self-conscious lead, who might be somewhat reminiscent of Lorina, who gets courted by a mischievous, devious woman who is much more confident than she is. Unlike Blackberry, however, Salome is fairly grim. It touches on some dark subject matter (such as sexual abuse and abortion), and the ending isn’t particularly cheerful. If you like sweet, light yuri stories, you might want to give Salome a miss. If you want a more unsettling yuri story, however, it might be to your liking! The story is available in both English and Simplified Chinese, and you can pick…
- All the Words She Wrote released on Steam! - 10 March 2022
Hi everyone! \o/ I'm just writing a post to let you know that my newest yuri visual novel, All the Words She Wrote, has been released on Steam. Words is a very cute, light yuri VN which doesn't feature too much in the way of melodrama, which takes place in modern day Japan. The story is about a grumpy light novel author and her obsessive fangirl, who winds up falling for her. Think Stephen King's Misery, but moe (I know I've written some grim stories in the past, but nobody gets their legs broken or their thumbs amputated in Words: I promise!). I hope you enjoy it, if you do decide to check it out! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1898670/All_the_Words_She_Wrote/
- German translation added - 20 June 2021
Hi everybody, Just to let you know, I recently uploaded a new build of BH to Steam which fixes a few misc typos in the English script - and, more importantly, includes a full German translation, courtesy of Saryana. The all ages version of Blackberry Honey is freely available in German on Steam. If you want to download the adult patch (which is available on Steam, but I believe it is inaccessible in Germany), you can grab it off-site here. To apply it, drop it into Blackberry Honey's game folder and overwrite the existing adult.rpa. As I said in the Japanese language update, the Japanese language is not supported with the uncensored adult patch. If you want to play the VN in Japanese with the adult content, you'll still need to download a censored version of the patch off-site, which pixellates certain elements of the art, here. This patch will censor all the adult scenes in every suppo…
- The Fairy's Song released on Steam - 7 August 2020
My newest yuri visual novel, The Fairy's Song, has been released. It's a fantasy story set in England that follows a teenage goth girl, Marnie. Whilst staying at her grandmother's home in the countryside, Marnie meets a sleeping female knight deep in the forest. The knight introduces herself as Leofe, and claims to have been sleeping in the forest for hundreds of years. Marnie and Leofe soon discover that the forest is cursed, and together they work to break the enchantment, while falling in love. It's a sweet love story, and I hope you enjoy it, if you decide to check it out! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1244260/The_Fairys_Song/
- Japanese translation added - 8 March 2020
Hi everybody, Just to let you know, I recently uploaded a new build of BH to Steam which includes a full Japanese translation, courtesy of SvntnFls! The all ages base game is available in Japanese via Steam. However, owing to Japanese censorship laws, the fully uncensored adult patch available on Steam is not in Japanese: downloading the Steam adult patch will remove the Japanese language option from the game altogether. If you want to read the VN in Japanese and read the adult content, you need to download a censored patch off-site here. This patch is functionally the same as the existing Steam adult patch, it just pixellates certain elements in the H scenes so as to comply with Japanese laws. The off-site patch will censor all the adult scenes in every supported language. If you're not interested in reading the game in Japanese, you don't need to worry about the off-site patch, and yo…
- Update - 4 December 2019
Hi everyone, Just letting you know, I uploaded a new build of BH. It doesn't change anything, apart from (hopefully) fixing a couple of errors with the text display in the Russian translation. If this update has done anything strange to the game (such as breaking achievements or interfering with save files), please let me know. It would be appreciated. I had to rebuild the whole VN on a newer version of Ren'py, and I'm unsure if that will have any negative consequences. And in other (unrelated) news, I recently published a new yuri VN on Steam. It's called Rituals in the Dark, and it's a romance story with some spooky elements. If you're interested, check it out! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1118880/Rituals_in_the_Dark Thank you! - ebi x
