- Accessibility Update + Spanish language added - 7 February 2022
Hey all! We've had a massive amount of great feedback from Wytchwood, and wanted to do a accessibility update to make sure everyone can enjoy the experience. Along with this we've added Spanish as a language option, and are hoping to keep adding more languages (Russian hopefully soon!) Changes: Spanish language option Can now set 'UI Scale' in graphics settings to increase or decrease the UI size. This should help anyone with any issues seeing small UI parts - also can be used to decrease the size of the UI to see more of the game. Larger button prompt sizes overall. Should be able to see button images more clearly in dialog / ingame 'No Button Holding' option in game settings. This disables any need to hold down buttons to craft / open doors. - January update! Some small fixes + new language: Chinese Traditional - 8 January 2022
Hey everyone! We updated with some small fixes, and added 'Chinese Traditional' as a language option. Wytchwood has a total of 60k words, so we weren't able to get a lot of languages in before release. We are hoping to add more languages this month though. If you'd like to help, please let us know! Hey everyone! FIxed a few issues that came up after launch: - 'Humble Pie' Quest bug fixed. This happened to a few players where they had to keep giving Humble Pie to the bandit boss. This should be fixed on loading that saved game - Fixed 'Feedback' not working in Main Menu - Fixes for running out of memory on low memory machines when moving between scenes (mostly for Nintendo Switch) Let us know any issues or thoughts on the forums or our Discord! - Wytchwood review: a dark fairytale to-do list you'll fall in love with - 10 December 2021
I am not great at keeping my mind palace organised. I don't even have a mind palace. If my mind were any kind of structure it would be a Lego creative box of randomly mixed bricks. Thus, like an advanced robot, I store my memory outside my body in the form of daily to-do lists that I write up every morning. Wytchwood is a to-do list game, with each item cascading into a sub-list of more things to be ticked off. The difference is, in real life, my daily to-do list only includes 'make shiny lure to catch an elf and steal its shoes' on Tuesdays. Read more

Readers, I have put on my waders and made my way into the deep mill pool of the Steam Game Festival: Summer edition free demos. There are a lot, so I confined myself to RPGs. This isn’t an exhaustive list, of course, even though I got overexcited and did far too many, but it’s hopefully going to give you a place to start. If you saw RPGs and thought “Christ, she’s done a list of all elves and wizards and that” then you’re wrong . There’s only, like, two elves, and the rest is an array of witches, sentient animals, magic paintbrushes and surreal dreamscapes. Wares to suit every purse (especially because these demos are all free for the weekend, right?).
