Latest Steam announcements

  • Patch #2 - 23 January 2024

The score achievements 4 and 5 would have taken potentially thousands of hours to achieve, so after some community feedback (thanks random person still playing!), we moved those targets down substantially.

  • Lonely Astronaut is going FREE! - 12 November 2020

Hey folks! After an extremely mild amount of deliberation, we've decided to make Lonely Astronaut a 100% FREE game on Steam. We've sent in a request to make this happen already, so expect it to happen very soon this week! We hope making our beloved corpse-flinging simulator free will open up the game to a wider audience. Consider it a 2020 Seasonal Affective Disorder gift from us to you! This year is rough enough already, so boot up Lonely Astronaut and enjoy some faux dread for once!

  • Patch #1 - 26 March 2018

Hey everyone! Thanks to all of you who supported us on launch week! Some of you have been helping us catch some launch day woes, and Greyson managed to patch some of these up recently. More fixes are incoming, so in the meantime continue letting us know in the Forums what you come across! And if you haven't already, leaving a review is always appreciated. :) Fixes and Features - Fixed a bug that made getting to level 3 impossible (hoo boy!) - Fixed UI scaling for high resolution screens. - Began implementing a back-end build-pushing doohickey that will allow us to push new fixes and changes more quickly and efficiently.

  • Launch Trailer (and Date)! - 28 February 2018

Check out our new launch trailer! We've also now settled on a date: March 16th, so mark your calendars. It'll be the worst day of your year, guaranteed (or your anxiety back). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmryHj_i4dk

  • Beta Testing - 14 December 2017

First off, thank you to all who are volunteering time and expertise to our beta! We have a bug report/help forum for those relevant items, and suggestions/concerns/hate mail can go in General Discussion. There will likely be frequent updates over the holiday season, so come back often for bug fixes, new features, and more existential depression!

  • Watch the trailer for Lonely Astronaut, a game about a skeleton in space - 27 November 2017

You're a corpse in a space suit in forthcoming indie game Lonely Astronaut, and yet somehow you can still move around by farting out orange streams of jet propulsion. The creation of developers Greyson Richey and Nick Lives, it's apparently a one-button arcade game that "highlights the sick joys of skeleton-thrusting". I don't know about you, but that's my money down. The aim is not to die a second time while zooming around a cosmic graveyard full of asteroids, suns, and giant wormy space babies. If you play well enough you can earn cosmetics: "Play dress-up with your corpse because that's healthy." Lonely Astronaut is coming to Steam next year , assuming its creators don't bounce off a huge floating fetus and explode in the meantime.
