  Hey again, Stalkers! A new hotfix has rolled out for the Steam version of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. This update will be rolled out to the other stores at a later point. Patch notes are listed below: --- Changelog Critical Fixes: Fix for chest opening crash experienced by some users. Fixed crashes that can occur with fungus spores and fire. Fixed potential softlock when hiding all three crew members. Numbers now appear correctly for machines with Arabic regional settings. Fixed rare throw crash. Bug Fixes "Tough Nut" Achievement is unlocked by finishing Iron Mutant Mode in any difficulty. Bot is now force started if less than 2 enemies alive in the barn squad. This is to allow the pickup of the "El Generator" artifact. Fixed erroneous savegame prompt when pausing during cutscenes. Fixed some super rare crashes related to mouse control.

• Hyper Light Drifter and Mutant Year Zero are free on the Epic Games Store - 16 August 2019

  The Epic Games Store is doing its last double freebie this week, at least for now, giving everyone a copy of Hyper Light Drifter, the tricky pixel RPG, and the turn-based tactics game, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden.  I've only ever admired Hyper Light Drifter from a distance, because it looks like the sort of thing where my lack of dexterity will only ensure a plenitude of deaths and a lot of frustration. It sure looks pretty, though! Mutant Year Zero is more my speed. It's a bit like XCOM, but with even more RPG nods and a whole exploration layer. The titular mutants also include a cynical duck with a top hat. • Your next free games on the Epic Store are Hyper Light Drifter and Mutant Year Zero - 8 August 2019

  Should your increasingly insurmountable library of video game freebies still not quite be tottering enough for your liking, Epic has revealed that Hyper Light Drifter and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will be available for nowt on its store next week. For those that need an introduction, Hyper Light Drifter is the work of developer Heart Machine, and originally launched on PC back in 2016. It's an utterly triumphant top-down slasher that mixes evocative exploration and puzzling with tough, evasion-based combat. All of which unfolds across an enigmatic, beautifully crafted world that's ripe with mysteries and and secrets for the curious adventurer to discover.
