Hey Beans! 🫘Patch 2.16 is here! This update is mainly focused on making it easier to find matches and connect to other players with the addition of dedicated servers. There are also some smaller improvements, a workshop update, bug fixes, and more! GAMEPLAY Dedicated servers: Dedicated servers are now available to help players find matches and provide a more reliable connection. As a solo player it could be hard to find a match at less populated times, so hopefully this will help. I will keep one running for now. In terms of content, there is not a ton, but this is something that I've been working on for a while and is a stepping stone to many future Bean Battles updates: SERVER / WEBSITE - Updated Server: Made some major changes to the server side of Bean Battles. Hey guys This is a small little patch to address some annoyances players were facing and fix some bugs/issues. GAMEPLAY - The time between rounds has been reduced from 20 to 15 seconds. - The time between matches has been reduced from 20 to 15 seconds. - Mostly cleaned up the leaderboard and changed how it is synced. Hey guys This patch has a lot of QOL changes and bug fixes. It also comes with a change to weapon spawning, so its more consistent to find weapons. GAMEPLAY - Unfinished matches: Now when a match ends early, players receive XP and coins for the rounds played. - Recent players: Recent players will now show up in Steam's recent players section. - Weapon spawn rework: The exact details of this one is a bit confusing but overall weapon spawning should feel more constant. The spawns are no longer completely random. Hey guys Today's patch is focused more on the competitive side of Bean Battles and helping out the various groups that run tournaments/leagues: GAMEPLAY - TAGS: You can now choose a TAG to represent a group or team. At the start of a game if the whole team shares the same TAG, your team’s name will be changed. - Match Listings: Now match listings will tell you specific presets being used rather than just custom weapons. - Tournament Match: In a tournament match you can now pause matches. Hey Everyone! Welcome to patch 2.00! This new patch is headlined by the new map Beantown! It also comes with many new quality of life features such as pinging, dropping items/weapons, and more: GAMEPLAY - New map: Beantown is located in the middle of the desert. It is a small map with a lot of close quarter combat.
