Several weeks have passed since the free release of Terra Feminarum Aurora Edition. Over 6000 units have been downloaded since then. Thank you very much for playing our game and spreading the word. Special thanks to all of you that have also given us invaluable feedback! We have started logging the progress of our new STG project. - Terra Feminarum Aurora Edition Now Free! - 29 April 2020
Why? Over two years have passed since the original release of Terra Feminarum. We have updated both the game content and the price of the game more or less frequently after the release. Terra Feminarum was funded purely by student loan money and the purpose of selling the game was to get some of that money back, the best case scenario break even. Like in game industry in general, very tiny part of released games break even. Most of them don't sell more than a few copies. We sold a total of 1,675 copies and most of purhcases were made during Steam sale events. We didn't break even, but the amount of units sold exceeded all our expectations, Thank You! We are not students anymore and have day jobs to pay the remaining balance of the loan. We don't see a reason not to make the game free now. Games are meant to be played, and making Terra Feminarum free will hopefully make more people give…

Terra Feminarum: Aurora Edition is the definitive version of Terra Feminarum a Finnish mythology themed Japanese style manic shoot ’em up with numerous gameplay improvements. Build Notes Gameplay changes and adjustments: All player shot types revisited and enhanced. Bullet pattern readability improved for all stages and bullet patterns. Chapter 1 background colors changed. Mana item readability improved. Item collection system has been streamlined and adjusted. New special ready / mana collected sound effects added. Dialog text frame is now fully revealed by a single press instead of being revealed at a faster pace. Boss position indicator added. Boss spell circle effects are now more transparent to improve bullet readability. Story Mode Chapter 7 unlock requirements adjusted. Score challenges has been adjusted to match the increased scoring potential. Aino: Fireboot damage nerfed again…

NORMAL: Difficulty has been adjusted (= reduced) to fit better between NOVICE and HARD difficulties. Chapter 1, 2, 5 & 6: Boss' health has been increased on all difficulties. Sprint: Spamming the sprint is not possible anymore. Sprint (Talvikki): Bullet slowdown factor adjusted. Sprint (Aino): Fire Vortex damage to bosses decreased by 50%. Various text formatting related bugs fixed. Chapter 7 Spell (Deja Vu): Phasing works now as intended.
