When we "completed our historical mission" last year with the Berlin DLC there was still a tiny piece that was missing: the Ardennes 44 campaign.See, you have the big major campaigns in Unity of Command II, and then there are also the smaller, "numbered" campaigns. I have a soft spot for those. We released the first two on their own (Moscow 41, Don 42) and then later on we were adding them as bonuses to Soviet late-war DLC (Zitadelle 43, Balaton 45).Ardennes 44 now fills the '44 slot in this lineup: it's the historical Battle of the Bulge from the German side, all zoomed-in and difficult. We're in a reflexive mood as we're wrapping up our 5-year journey to depict all the main theaters of WWII in Europe. Today I'd like to personally thank the designers whose dedication and love went into making these campaigns the epic journeys that they are: Daniel Mellbin, Charles Berger, Krešimir Čuturić, František Průša, and Hexaboo. Thanks a bunch guys, and remember: this achievement, the 9-DLC, continent-and-war-spanning wargame would never, ever exist without you. ... Also, please find the developer notes on the Berlin DLC below. You may call them a post-mortem, rather than a dev diary - we were too busy before the release day at any rate. Unity of Command II reaches it's 8th DLC! Kursk is a rich DLC with two complete campaigns, Soviet and German, plus two separate alt-history tracks in the German campaign! The DLC releases on October 19th, and there are 31 scenarios in total. Given the size of the thing, we have raised our usual DLC price to $11.99 (please don't be mad).
