Ubisoft has finally rolled out fixes for multiple Assassin's Creed games impacted by last year's Windows 11 update. Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Valhalla have been patched to get around the game-breaking Microsoft operating system patch, but a fix for Odyssey is nowhere to be found. As someone who was so fascinated by the ancient world from an early age that they ended up going into student debt for it, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Sony has announced October’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup, and it's a bumper crop. Epicly long action RPG Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is leaping onto Microsoft’s PC Game Pass subscription service today. The move was announced by surprise during this morning’s ID@Xbox stream at Tokyo Game Show, which I guess is appropriate for something to do with assassins. During what Ubisoft calls Assassin’s Creed Day on Twitter, the official account announced the possible intent of adding the ability to play Assassin’s Creed Origins in 60 FPS, a feature that fans have been requesting for a while now. It’s unlikely that this would apply to last-gen consoles given how they work, meaning players would need a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S to really benefit from it. Still, given how the following two entries in the series both can run at 60 FPS and Origins represents the new beginning point for the series, it’s only appropriate that Origins achieves technical parity. Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Odyssey is set to get a new update on August 24 that allows the game to run in 60FPS on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S . Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – arguably the best game in the modern end of the series – is going to get even better on PlayStation 5 and new-gen Xbox consoles as of tomorrow. In a new tweet, Ubisoft has noted that the epic, open world RPG is going to get a new update that will allow it to run at a nice, smooth 60FPS on the new machines. "A new title update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be deployed on August 24, adding 60FPS support when running the game on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility!"
