- Our Lunar New Year update has arrived! - 11 February 2021
Hello everyone! We've been tinkering away behind the scenes, and are happy to present you with our latest major update! In honor of the Lunar New Year being just around the corner, we've created a bunch of new maps to celebrate. Without further ado, let's get into the patch notes! Additions First, we've added twenty new playable levels! You can leave your cars in the garage for these, because they're for the Island and Arctic regions. Both regions have received 10 new levels that will prove to be quite the challenge, even for experienced players. Here's a quick flyby of what you can expect. Hello everyone! Having fun but wish there were more ways to wreck carnage around your neighborhood? Well, now you have some new items you can DESTROY! But watch out, there’s something sinister lurking in the waters... In this update we’ve added a new furniture movement system. Players can now vertically adjust furniture to alter stacking height. This makes it easier to arrange items onto your vehicle and create your abstract take on lady liberty. Make a great first impression on your neighbors by ramming through letterboxes, pot plants, BBQ, dead trees, beds, and much more! But watch out on the boat levels. Hello everyone! You've conquered the physics of land and sea, but are you ready to take to the skies? We hope so, because HELICOPTERS ARE HERE! In this update, we added an all-new arctic region with 20 levels to scramble your brain. No cars or boats here, only helicopters to get from A to B. Here's how it works: Stack your belongings on a wooden pallet Hover over the pallet with your helicopter Press T to attach ropes Hit a bunch of trees, shatter everything Try again! Of course, helicopter physics are going to be very different from cars and boats, so these levels require you to tackle them differently. Hey everyone! Time for another update. We've been receiving a lot of love from our Japanese players, so we're happy to announce that Japanese language options are now available! Leaderboard change As for changes, one major change we've made is that leaderboards now have milliseconds, as opposed to just seconds. This means you can now properly see how well you're doing against other speedrunners! For those who like photo finishes, this one's for you. Funny bug, no more We've also fixed a pretty major (and, not gonna lie, very funny) bug that caused furniture to fly off extremely fast when you hit a curb. Hello! We’re Matt & Gareth, developers of Radical Relocation. Thanks to everyone who checked out our recent demo! We’ve enjoyed watching the community play and compete for the fastest times (fastest we’ve seen is 26s for level 8, can you do better?!) Radical Relocation was born during a 72 hour Ludum Dare game jam competition. The theme was “the more you have, the worse it is”, and the concept of moving furniture on a vehicle was created with this starting point. Seeing all the love from the community really made us want to take the idea further and turn it into a full game that could be enjoyed by everyone. Development has been tracking nicely. In a world mildly inconvenienced by a lack of moving trucks... Need to move your furniture? Why not on top of your car? This demo allows you to try the first few levels of a new physics-based puzzle game - make sure to fasten your seat belt though, because the difficulty stacks up fast! In Radical Relocation, you'll have to stack your furniture and other personal belongings (like dastardly basketballs) on top of your vehicle. Sure, a couple of boxes is easy, but Fido won't be happy when you're swerving through the streets with his doghouse balancing on a bookshelf.
