• 2K announces arcade-style WWE 2K Battlegrounds, addresses sim series concern - 27 April 2020

  2K has announced an arcade-style WWE game and addressed concern about the fate of the simulation series. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a brawler by World War Z and NBA 2K Playgrounds developer Saber Interactive, and it's out autumn 2020. It features stylised depictions of famous wrestlers, with outlandish moves and environments. Expect more on the game soon. • NBA 2K19 fans are unhappy at an increase in the number of in-game unskippable ads - 23 June 2019

  Unhappy NBA 2K19 players are complaining that unskippable ads have popped up via loading screens on the basketball sim across most platforms. Whilst loading advertisments in the NBA 2K franchise aren't new , the sudden flood of irate messages across Reddit and social media (thanks, Nintendo Life ) concerning 2K19 intimates either a bug or an upswing in the number of advertisements playing. "Yeah, my game got to 100% and instead of letting me edit match ups (which you can normally do while the game loads) or letting me go straight to the game, I had to sit there and finish the ad," said one commenter . • WWE 2K19 Patch 1.03 is Live - 5 December 2018

  The latest patch for WWE 2K19 is live today to prep for the upcoming New Moves Pack and address the following issues. Universe mode The proper menu displays when using a Superstar unlocked via VC and assigning them a custom title in a show. Also, the title will no longer soft crash when attempting to load into the edited show. No additional manager will appear when customizing a normal match with managers and then switching to another Superstar with two managers. Fixed issue with normal matches with managers when the target menu would appear when selecting participants for an entrance run-in. The target menu no longer appears, and if a match participant is selected for a normal match with managers, their opponent will be automatically the target of the entrance run-in.   Hey all, we have just launched a new patch for WWE 2K19 (Patch 1.02) which features improvements to overall stability, support for the upcoming Titans Pack DLC and other bug fixes to enhance the user experience Also included are the following additions: -Elimination match rule is now possible when creating Custom Match rules for multi-man match types. -Mid-match cash-ins can now be performed for matches that contain the champion in Universe mode.

  The dramatic clotheslines, hairlines, and plotlines of the world’s second-best soap opera (after Sunset Beach, obvs) have slammed ito PC once again, as WWE 2K19 launched this morning. 2K’s official licensed take on sports entertainment might not be the most technical wrassle ’em up (look more to Fire Pro Wrestling for that) but it is the shiniest, and not just cos 2K hose their sports games with high-tech sweat. If you want hundreds of WWE folks recreated in fancyvision, not forgetting making your monstrosities in the character creator, this is the shiniest option around.
