Hey everyone. For this build I tried to find ways to decrease load times and increase frame rates for lower end machines. I'm not sure how much of an impact these changes make but I hope this can improve the experience for at least a few players. Cheers! Good day! The huge The British are COMING! update is coming to you October 12th, free of charge. Not only that, but the update is now an EXPANSION! What does that mean? Well, not terribly much. Just that the amount of content we've been working on for the past year is so significant, we decided that calling it an expansion was more appropriate. Expect to see extensive patch notes next week. But stick around if you want a little peek behind the curtain of development. You might also be asking yourself, why is this expansion free? You'd be right to ask that. This expansion is easily a $10 DLC. Honestly, it's equal parts guilt and strategy. We were aiming to finish this update... about a year ago. Just wanted to let everyone know that development on the The British are Coming! update has been very very slow, but it's still coming. I dare not venture to announce a new "release date" until we begin testing (aka all the new content is done already). While I still have no idea how long it will take to finish the update at the quality it deserves, know that I'm not working on anything else until we finish this update. I hate that it's taking much longer than planned but unfortunately my spite alone is not enough to power the studio through the challenges of a pandemic. The added stress of wildly missing our deadline has not been good for me but pretty much all of our fans have been supportive and understanding - so I thank you for that, sincerely. Hello everyone. It's now December and the "Fall" release window that I was aiming for for the Free The British are COMING! update is almost past us. As you can imagine, the pandemic has impacted everyone on the team and our schedule was nothing more than wishful thinking during this bollocks of a year. Rest assured, this update is all I've been working on. We've even brought on 5 new team members since launch! On the plus side, the extra time means we've been able to add even more content than we originally planned. So where does the update stand? Well, I'm currently aiming for "Winter(?)" now. Here's what we addressed in Version 1.08 Features: -Improved Save system - should prevent corrupt saves but also allow for recovery from unexpected crashes or corrupted saves. -Angel now gives tips on the loan repayment screen. -Added effect to make event spawns more obvious.
