  • [PLEASE READ] Ceasing Development, New Game, No Extra Cost - 14 February 2024

New Game, Ceasing Development of MCTD Today we are announcing that the game ‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream’ will no longer be supported and early access development has stopped completely. As you are probably well aware, there has not been an MCTD update for well over a year. This is because we have partnered with Turborilla, creators of the massively successful ‘Mad Skills Motocross’ mobile games. Together, we are working on a brand new game called ‘Mad Skills Motocross: Chasing the Dream’, the newest PC motocross game under the ‘Mad Skills’ franchise that will be available here on Steam. Get the New Game At No Cost We understand this news might be shocking and disappointing, but this is good news for current owners of ‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream’! Current owners will not have to purchase the new game and will be given an opportunity to redeem a product key for the new game after supp…

  • Halloween Update 10/28/2022 - 29 October 2022

Yes, I know. We could have been working on physics, mods, multiplayer, or anything else but we decided to have some fun for Halloween this year. Over the last month, we have created a spooky Halloween track with lots of activities and places to explore. Our newest member of the team, HurrenMX whom you might know from the MX Bikes modding community, absolutely pushed the limits of our rendering capabilities with this one from the lighting to the environment design. We thought this would be a perfect track to get his feet wet and he did not disappoint, nor did the rest of the team with their Halloween-themed art assets. Below are some of the highlights of this new map... Corn maze. The ultimate in Autumn activities Trick-or-treating, emphasis on the trick to get the treats Fun jump scares Special Halloween helmets to find Haunted trail 2 motocross tracks to ride Achievement: "Its Corn!" -…

  • Release Notes 09/21/2022 - 22 September 2022

Today we are introducing camera settings via the developer console. These commands can be accessed by pressing "F1" on your keyboard and entering the command for the setting you want to change. We will be working on the UI for this soon. We will be back next week with some more updates as some of the team will be at RedBud this weekend for MXDN. Let us know if you will be there too! Commands: camera.fov camera.follow-distance camera.follow-height camera.slot-distance camera.slot-height camera.slot-offset camera.first-person-distance camera.first-person-height camera.first-person-tilt

  • Release Notes 09/14/2022 - 15 September 2022

Torque curve adjustments - little less linear in the bottom end than yesterday's update Moves third-person camera forward and down a bit

  • Release Notes 09/13/2022 - 14 September 2022

Release Notes: Change: Torque curve is now fully linear for a more arcade feel Change: Rear end lateral slip coefficient and lateral force coefficient increased to compensate for higher wheel spin from new torque curve Change: Suspension made softer to soak up bumps better Max force decreased on forks and shock Compression speed decreased Rebound speed decreased Change: Third-person camera adjusted Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive reviews and for getting our game into the "New and Trending" section in the Racing category on Steam. That's insane for us! As always, keep the feedback, suggestions, and bug reports coming as we work to give you the best game we possibly can.

  • Release Notes 09/08/2022 - 9 September 2022

We took last weekend off to relax from our wild launch last week, but we got right back to it earlier this week and have some exciting updates for you. The people that like pressing a bunch of buttons on their controllers are going to like this one a bit. Release Notes - Add: Track selection menu Add: Canyon Trail MX Add: Playground (WIP) Add: Supercross (WIP) Add: Straight Rhythm (WIP) Add: gas and better brake gyro Add: split brakes (you can run them on the same input if you prefer only one) Remove: Off-axis crashing (temporarily) Change: More uniform bike acceleration Fix: Rear wheel crash bug when landing

  • Release Notes 08/31/2022 - 1 September 2022

Today we made some important changes based on feedback we received yesterday and today. Firstly, the steering speed was sped up a bit. The bike feels more agile now in most situations. We also reduced the rear wheel slip to break traction easier at lower speeds. You may like this or hate it, but it definitely needs more tweaking. We also added a 2-second wait time after crashing to reset. This is so there will be fewer glitches when resetting, however, it's not perfect. It will do for now until we add support for picking your own bike up after a crash. Terrain boundaries were added - some people wanted them, idk. It's fine, there's nothing out in the void anyway. That's why it's called a void. Release Notes: Add: 2-second wait time for a reset after a crash Add: Terrain boundaries - no more exploring the void Change: Reduced rear wheel lateral slip force coefficient (rear wheel breaks t…

  • Release Notes 08/30/2022 - 31 August 2022

It was a bit of a rough launch today, so sorry about that. We have spent the evening issuing fixes and a few additions to make playing the game more enjoyable. We have also tweaked a few of the bike settings based on feedback we have received from players. Release Notes: Add: Reset in place instead of resetting at the last marker Add: Tap on the reset button to reset the bike Add: Hold on the reset button to spawn at marker Change: Lowered bike power output by 10% Change: Engine braking cut in half for 125 Change: Clutch power output decreased again Change: Sideways crash settings tweaked Fix: Stick rebinding now works on all controllers Fix: Third person rider always hidden on first boot if in first person Fix: Players can no longer switch cameras when crashed Fix: Marker cannot be placed when crashed We really hope you are enjoying this early build of our game. We appreciate everyone…

  • Release Notes 08/29/2022 - 30 August 2022

Release notes: Add: Support for ultrawide displays Add: Marker set notification so players know when their marker is placed Add: Consistency to reverse Change: Lowered Clutch power considerably Change: Suspension bump speed up to help with momentum loss and bounciness Change: Removed some bog at lower RPMs Fix: Some inputs not being saved in control binding menu

  • Release Notes 08/28/2022 - 29 August 2022

A control settings menu has been added to the game. A bunch of people were not happy with my "y" button upshift on gamepads so I figured it'd be best to give players the option to choose their own bindings sooner rather than later :D Below are today's release notes... Added control settings menu for gamepads and keyboard Fixes dropdown and other scroll view snapping Known issues Currently there is no way to cancel an in-progress binding. Clicking a binding button with the mouse cause an infinite loop. Please use use the enter/return key instead until this is fixed
