- End of SRC - 25 April 2023
SRC bids farewell It's been some time since our last update, and unfortunately, the news we have to share isn't what we were hoping for. The RageQuit team has made the difficult decision to request SRC's removal from the Steam storefront due to the shutdown of third-party services, which SRC relied on for its essential features. Recent months have seen Leaderboards, Character Customization, and Multiplayer features becoming either entirely unavailable or unreliable. We've discussed solutions internally, but unfortunately, we haven't had the capacity to fix these issues. Long story short, it doesn't feel right to keep SRC available on Steam when significant aspects of the game are no longer functioning. We'll be working with Steam to remove the game from sale as quickly as possible. From our understanding this won't affect those who have already purchased SRC, and you will still be able…
- Maintenance Mode - 19 February 2021
Admittedly we’ve been a little slack in keeping everyone up-to-date with SRC since our last Championship in July, rest assured we’re still here and have been mostly active in our Discord providing support and watching some of the insane times being posted to the leaderboards. Since April 2020 we've been rolling out small patches to address issues we or the community have found. Most of these fixes were so small we didn't find it necessary to mention them in their own post. Below is a short list of some of these fixes. Bugfixes Fixed: an exploit where you could restart the race at a position other than the Startline, Fixed: an input bug which forced you into a slide after resetting, Fixed: an the mouse cursor escaping the game when played in windowed mode, Fixed: "Seeker" obstacle move speed being frame dependent, Fixed: the connection lost menu softlock, Fixed: magnetic tracksections so…

- Patch 1.03 - New Tutorial - 3 April 2020
We've heard plenty of feedback regarding the Tutorial for SRC and we agree it didn't cover some of the core gameplay mechanics in enough detail. So we've redesigned the Tutorial to cover all of SRCs key concepts, without giving away too much, as we want to make sure there's still an element of discovery to the advanced techniques of building and maintaining speed. The new Tutorial is still fairly short and straight to the point, just enough to get you up and running. We've also unlocked the Ghost selection when selecting a track from the endgame screen. We've also fixed several infamous long time bugs... Fixed: Ready up button not working before race start. Fixed: -1 or 4 second startline countdown softlock. These were difficult to fix as they were nearly impossible to reproduce reliably enough to track down. So if you do experience these issues after this patch please let us know over…

- SRC has Officially Released! - 3 March 2020
SRC has Officially Released! We’ve added partial controller support! Most of the game is now functional on a standard gamepad, you can now play through SRC’s core content from start to finish entirely with a controller. Character customisation is currently not supported by the gamepad and we are expecting a few minor bugs to be ironed out over the next few days. “The Sprint Robot Championship” will be active for one week, after which special ingame rewards will be given to those on the podium. We’ll be releasing more details about this championship tomorrow, but the clock starts now for those who want a headstart. We’ve also wiped all leaderboards and settings for a clean start in 1.0 The bulk of this updates content comes in the form of 4 new Sprint mode tracks. - Update 0.9 - Anniversary - 1 February 2020
We're Celebrating One Year of SRC on Steam! We're bringing alot of changes in this update to address some of the long running issues and bugs in SRC, while also introducing a slick new Championship UI and alternate modes for Circuit and Eliminator tracks! Alongside some quality of life additions and network lobby changes. First of all the Championship UI, this is the first stage of improving the confusing interface that was Championship selection. We've streamlined everything into a single row of tiered progression, and introduced all the new tracks into Championship mode. The final stage will see improvements to Championship UI during and after races in the next Update. We've taken every Circuit and Eliminator track, made a few balance tweaks and made them playable in either mode. Essentially doubling the amount of tracks in SRC. Some tracks have even seen whole new sections added or t…
