• Cave Digger turns 4 years on 9th of May - 9 May 2022

  Howdy, diggers! It's been already four years. Can't believe it. On May 9th, 2018, Cave Digger was released as a free game on Steam and that's when our journey as a game development studio truly began! The free version of the game got approximately 100 000 downloads and got us confident enough to develop the game further and eventually release Cave Digger: Riches DLC. After the train expansion, the PC Edition and several other platform releases we decided to combine the free version on Steam with the DLC content for one premium product. This all allowed us to continue making games and here we are looking at CD2 full release sailing our way slow but steady. Read more about the Cave Digger's journey on this devblog post on reddit. And here we are, soon (TBD) celebrating the full release of Cave Digger 2: Dig harder!

  Yeehaw, Diggers! As of last week, CD2 was released on App Lab and SideQuest. It's on early access just like on Steam and we keep on improving it based on your feedback!   This is the end of Cave Digger updates as we know it. Fixed a several small bugs and issues and added a video giving a sneak peek about Cave Digger 2. • Cave Digger 2: Dig harder! store page is up! - 15 March 2021

  The development has progressed to the point that we were able to publish the store "coming soon" page for our Digger sequel. However the time of the release is still unknown as there is a lot of things to do. You can see some early screenshots from the game in the store page, but some visual aspects will still change and we will be adding new screens and videos to the store page as we get more things ready! Many of the basic mining mechanics are starting to look pretty good, as does the multiplayer and level generation.   Hello from the frontiers of the new country! It’s time for our first community contest for Cave Digger 2: Dig harder! We want to include you more into the development process of the game, instead of just choosing your favourites from our designs and what would be a better way to do that than a design contest? You’ll get to showcase your ideas and creativity and we’ll cherry pick the best option(s) and implement it into the game.   Great news from the frontier! We have discovered new weird west frontiers in the New Country and have begun the production of Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder! It’s all still very new and there are a lot of things to do, but from now on you will be receiving news and development updates regularly. We hope to include as many of you as possible in the process to make sure the game is gonna be awesome for both original and new diggers to come. CD2 will be first and foremost a VR release, and we aim to keep and improve some loved cave digger features, but also bring a bunch of new ones. • The Supporter's pack DLC to be removed from Store. - 20 December 2019

  Howdy-ho! Supporter’s pack DLC will be removed on Monday the 23rd of December. The DLC included: The golden pickaxe skin The soundtrack of the game After this long time since the initial release of the game, we felt that our biggest fans had had the chance to purchase the pack for our support and the package no longer served any purpose to us or the players. Also, it created some confusion among the users after we combined the free version and the Riches DLC some time ago. • New update - The Unearthly Arrival! - 13 December 2019

  Odd looking statues have been excavated in the mines. What could they signify? Unveil the mystery to experience the new epic ending, and a reward! Besides the new mystery around the new ending, the town buildings got some updating. The sheriff building now offers the players quests that they can complete for extra dollars while they're in the mines. Updating the sheriff's building unlocks more quests. The Saloon now offers some entertainment for the players and upgrading the saloon unlocks a trophy showcase, which you can fill in by excavating trophies in the mines. The reward: Unveiling the new ending rewards the player with MagnetoGun. Surely the fastest way to mine stuff in the game so far. Just aim at the wall and pull the trigger. • Cave Digger's free version removed - 18 October 2019

  Greetings, diggers! We have updated Cave Digger on Steam to be identical to other platforms. This also means there is no free version available anymore (users who've downloaded it before will be able to play it in the future). All the content that was previously in the Riches DLC is included in the new paid package. Also we've released the huge Railway into the Depths update as a free content for everybody who's purchased Cave Digger. If you have previously claimed the free version but can't purchase the game now in store: 1. Remove and uninstall Cave Digger from your steam library. 2.   Massive content update is now available for the owners of the Riches DLC. The update adds hours of new gameplay content in the free-roam world of Cave Digger. Yes, you can now get da heck outta the elevator and use the joystick to move around. Find the train outside of the saloon and hop on it. The train will take you deeeep into the mines where hours of new adventures await.
