Hello friends, Some good news for you! We have introduced a huge update to our game, which includes: - new character design: Jack, Natalie, and Hope, who will also appear in parts two and three! (more on that later), - A new menu and UI which introduces several new features to the game, - All language improvements in English and French. We moved the entire game from the Fungus tool to Naninovel. This allowed us to add many new functions to the game. However, there was one issue we wanted to inform you about. All your current game saves will be deleted. We are very sorry for that. The first Vision Doc described a game that was ‘super-indie’. With time, many ideas came up about the game’s presentation and the amount of detail that needed to be included. Hello dear friends, Today we're going to tell you a little bit of the story behind the creation of Perseverance. Initially, the game's structure was supposed to be simple: a static story cutscene followed by a playable hidden object scene, followed by another static story cutscene, and so on. The challenge was to design the game and the story in such a way that we could 're-use' each hidden object scene at least twice. The initial story had to be reshaped. Reasons for the main character to perform hidden object tasks needed to be invented. That was a lot of work. The first gameplay mechanics appeared. There was a huge contrast between a fast-paced story and slow-paced hidden object mechanics. We wanted the game to have a good pace, one that would engage the player. Over time we began to see it more as a unique visual novel than the hidden objects game. We sat down with one of our writer…

Oh, Ellen. If there was one character we immediately fell in love with it’s our clumsy, blonde Natalie’s co-worker - Ellen. There was something pure and innocent about her initial concept and we strongly wanted to make her part of the main plot. But how does a goodhearted, harmless person fit into a mystery horror visual novel? Ellen is a newcomer to Perseverance story. As a nurse, she works at the hospital - together with Natalie and other employees. She is someone who stumbles at the least expected moment - and nobody's surprised - that's just how she is. - The evolution of Karen's design - 26 November 2020
Hello :) Today let's talk a bit about our main character’s design. The arrival of Karen Stamp in Perseverance: Part 1 has created a strange atmosphere. A mysterious woman who is an agent, alone in a tiny town? The questions that came to light after she appeared were: Who is she looking for? Who is she working for? What is her objective afterwards? Some of these questions were answered in Part 1 while other answers are yet to be revealed. As we were working on the details for Part 2, Karen’s character has changed. Once that happened we had to rework her look. Today we are not going into the story, but into the evolution of Karen's appearance.
