Updated Unity Editor to resolve a critical security vulnerability.NOTE: If you experience crashes running the game on this new patch, please use the "legacy" branch in Steam. This will allow you to remain on the previous version for now until I find a fix.Security patch for a critical security vulnerability with older versions of Unity.This replaces the previous v1.4.6 patch released on Friday as that was fully rebuilt and introduced new errors. This patch is instead a clone of v1.4.5 with the security patch applied.

๐ฅ The Egg Hunt Challenge has begun A special seasonal event to coincide with Easter weekend When? 7th-14nd April 2023 (inclusive) Just like the Trick or Treat event at Halloween, this event modifies Daily Challenge mode for a limited time. As usual, you'll only get one chance to play the Daily Challenge each day so give it your best shot! ๐ฆ How the Egg Hunt challenge works: All Gems are replaced with hidden Snaptor Eggs. These eggs are invisible at first, but will appear when your players are nearby. Eggs are worth 100 points each, but are more plentiful than Gems. Collecting an Egg will fully replenish a player's Stamina. But be warned: Snaptor Eggs will hatch after 3 turns when revealed, so collect them quickly! ๐ Achievement Completing an Egg Hunt run will unlock the 'Extinction Event' achievement. Hey everyone, things have been a little quiet on the update front here as we welcomed a new baby to our little family (!!!!). I did manage to welcome a Steam Deck to the family too, though. It's much more technically-impressive and has more buttons. I've been loving it so far, and it inspired me to return to Dungeon Deathball to address the issues that were preventing it from getting that big green 'verified' tick. So, with version 1.4.4 now available on Steam I am happy to announce that Dungeon Deathball is now Steam Deck Verified, meaning it's fully functional and works great with the built-in controls and display. If you've been fortunate enough to get a Steam Deck then be sure to let me know how you find it on there. The main issue preventing the game being verified was that some of the text was too small and difficult to read. To address this, all the small text now uses a differenโฆ
- Patch v1.4.4 - 9 September 2022
Changes All small text now uses a larger font which is more legible on all devices, but especially on Steam Deck. Enemy intention icons (in the orange popup on the right-hand side of the screen) now rotate to match their direction. For example, if an enemy intends to move left the arrow will now point left. Info popups now have a semi-transparent background so they don't hide what's behind them too much. Your current total score is now displayed on the Pause menu. Bug Fixes Fixed text not displaying correctly in the How To Play screens (actually fixed now). Fixed Steam Deck button icons not being automatically selected (also actually fixed now). Daily Challenge popup no longer appears in Select Mode menu if this mode is not yet unlocked. If you view the Team Info screen when one of your players is dead, the remaining player's panel is now left-aligned instead of centred.

Steam Deck changes Steam Deck button icons are now displayed automatically (provided you have selected Automatic Button Style in the options menu). (Actually this might not be working as intended ๐ญ Please bear with me!) Mouse cursor is now hidden automatically. Bug Fixes Improved stability of lots of Steam functionality. This should help to prevent initialisation problems. Removed brief pauses/freezes when the game is being saved. Improved a bunch of game code efficiency under the hood.

Overview ๐ Added 9 new Perks. 5 new Teams. 5 new Achievements. Steam Deck controller button set (select it by disabling 'Automatic Button Style' in Options menu, then select the Steam Deck button set). Blood splats appear whenever characters are hit or killed. Blood splat colour can be tinted grey in the Options menu. 'Voice Volume' slider in the Options menu (affects human players, monsters and the Judgment overseer). ๐ Changed Ticks now stun characters when they attack. 'The Winner Takes it All' achievement is now checked when you first load the game. Using 'Undo' during gameplay now shows a big, clear notification popup. For the next few days, Daily Challenge mode will feature some devious Halloween-themed twists in the form of the Trick or Treat Halloween Special Event! This event affects Daily Challenges every day from 28th October until 1st November 2021. About the Trick or Treat Daily Challenges: ๐ All Gems are replaced with Pumpkins in Daily Challenge mode. ๐ Pumpkins are worth 1,000 points each (instead of the usual 250 points for Gems). ๐ Collecting a Pumpkin gives you a Trick or a Treat... but what will it be? ๐ป ๐ A spoOoOoky new Achievement is up for grabs for a limited time. The second big update for Dungeon Deathball is here! Yep, there's already been one within the last week and no signs of slowing down! Here's what's new in version 1.2.0... Countdown to the next Daily Challenge You can now see how long you have to wait until a new Daily Challenge becomes available. View information about purchased upgrades Previously, you could no longer hover over upgrades that were already purchased or otherwise unavailable. Now you can! This means you can view the popup that displays the effects of Perks, stat boosts, etc. even after that stat is fully upgraded. View enemies' full attack range You can now see the full range an enemy's attack can reach. A grey arrow indicates the full range of Charge- and Wind-type attacks, so you'll know that even if you try to move away from them you'll still be in danger. The first big update for Dungeon Deathball is here! Make sure Steam downloads the latest version (check pending downloads) to grab the new changes. Here's what's new in version 1.1... Smooth Fonts option You can now choose to display all text with a smoother, non-pixelated font instead of the usual retro-style font. This option was added in response to feedback from players with low vision and aims to make the in-game text more legible. Enable Smooth Fonts in the Options menu for this to take effect. Clearer warnings when players are in danger When players are standing on a dangerous tile, the tile's hazard stripe effects now pulse orange. The intent is to make it more eye-catching when players are about to die, particularly when being targetted by a lightning attack โก (I noticed several players getting zapped without realising it while watching some of your livestreams).
