- Patch 1.20 - Polish and Bug Fix! - 10 October 2018
This is largely a polish and bug fix release, but now I can move on to fun stuff again, like improved AI and more customization! Fixes: - Custom Resolution allowed now in graphics settings. - Shotgun could "no reg" in certain conditions where the bullets hit both AI and another object, this has been fixed. - Stair "phasing" through was triggered too easily, it will now turn on collision if only a small portion of your leg is in it. - Storefront has been updated with proper descriptions, a new video, and screenshots! What's Next: - Making a reddit video thread (wish me luck boys, the internet is a tough place). Next up will be adding in a "Bot Quickbar" similar to the Quickbar for Weapons and Building, allowing you to spawn Bots whenever you want, give them a path to follow, etc.
- Patch 1.19 - Polish and Bug Fix! - 2 October 2018
This is largely a polish and bug fix release, they're never sexy, but having things work correctly is always good! Fixes: - Roof edit into a "ramp" could incorrectly build with only 1 connected point, it now correctly deletes if only 1 connected point is present. - At extreme camera angles, your shot could incorrectly hit ceilings or floors nearby, this has been fixed. - Crouch and camera view could get out of sync if you spammed crouch, this has been fixed. - While crouched and aiming at the sky, the tracer for your shot wasn't centered, this has been fixed. - While crouch spamming and shooting, the tracer would occasionally have an incorrect start position, this has been fixed. - Controller sensitivity has now been changed to the 0.1 - 1 scale to match recent changes. - Controller can now ADS and Zoom properly. - Controller can now weapon switch with the quickbar properly. - Controlle…
- Patch 1.18 - Scope/ADS Sensitivity! - 27 September 2018
What's New: - Scope Sensitivity customization has been added to Settings. - Aim Down Sights Sensitivity customization has been added to Settings. - Anti Bunny Hop penalty has been implemented, if you spam Jump too quickly it will reduce your Jump height until you let it reset. Fixes: - Using the Switch Quickbar hotkey wasn't showing the correct UI at the bottom, this has been fixed. What's Next: - I'll probably add more polish in a few areas, then consider going onto bounce pads and maybe traps. Bounce pads and traps require me making a new system and integrating it with building, so it might take me a bit!
- Patch 1.17 - Training Modes Customization! - 26 September 2018
What's New: - Training Modes all got additional customization. - Survival Difficulty and Max Bots allows you to customize how accurate the bots are and how many can spawn. - Target Practice Max Bots allows you to customize how many bots run around you. - Build Race Length allows you to customize how long a Build Race is. - Edit Race Length and Variation allows you to customize how long Edit Race is, and new variations have been added for what you'll find (e.g., pyramids and half stairs), making Edit Race more challenging. - Audio Tab in Settings added to let you set a master volume. What's Next: - I'll probably add more polish in a few areas, then consider going onto bounce pads and maybe traps (which make sense now that you can actually trap something in Target Practice). Bounce pads and traps require me making a new system and integrating it with building, so it might take me a bit!
- Patch 1.16 - Target Practice! - 21 September 2018
What's New: - Target Practice v1 has been added. AI characters will run randomly around you, allowing you to just practice aim without being shot at (unlike in Survival Mode). - In Target Practice you can customize how many bots spawn around you (1-9), and the AI character can be headshot with all weapons. Fixes: - Several small discrepancies with the build and edit system have been fixed based on user reports and an FPS cap has been added into the Graphics Settings. What's Next: - I'm going to take a polish pass at all of the Training Modes. For example, Edit Race needs to be updated to include pyramids and more variation of structures. I'll also add more options to each Mode to allow better customization (e.g. Survival Mode, let you set difficulty of the bots).
- Patch 1.15 - Sniper Rifle! - 17 September 2018
What's New: - Sniper Rifle has been added. The Sniper Rifle is a true projectile bullet with drop off, and I'll be tweaking speed and drop off over the next few patches. Fixes: - The animation system had a serious glitch where if you looked at a certain angle, the weapon holding animation would glitch out, this has been fixed. What's Next: - I'll be working on a new Training Mode called Target Practice.
- Patch 1.14 - SMG! - 13 September 2018
What's New: - Sub Machine Gun has been added. - Partial Reload for Shotguns has been added. The Assault Rifle and SMG both require full reloads (of the magazine), however Shotguns can reload per bullet and canceling a reload will partially replenish the Shotgun's ammo count. Tweaks: - Slightly sped up Reload times, where it was taking slightly too long because it ALSO added in an "equip time" causing a small extra delay. What's Next: - I'll likely be adding a sniper rifle while working on a new Training Mode called Target Practice.
- Patch 1.13 - Shotgun! - 11 September 2018
What's New: - Shotgun has been added, including custom bindings in the Settings -> Keyboard menu. - Icons for both Buildings and Weapons have been updated. What's Next: - I'll likely be adding a SMG next, as well as continue to work on a new Training Mode called Target Practice (AI player characters running around for you to use as target practice).
- Patch 1.12 - Assault Rifle Model/Animation - 7 September 2018
What's New: - Assault Rifle Model has been added. - Animations for holding Weapons as well as transitioning between Building and Weapons have been added! What's Next: - I'll likely be adding a shotgun and adding a new Practice Mode called Target Practice. Target Practice will have AI player characters running around for you to practice hitting moving targets and headshots (without the AI shooting back, unlike in Survival Mode).
- Patch 1.11 LIVE - Character Upgrade - 27 August 2018
What's New: - New Character! Upgraded the character model, textures, and animations to look more polished and professional. - Updated Character Controller. Small tweaks to the character controller, in particular crouching and jumping are more accurate and polished as well as minor speed ups. What's Next: - I'll likely be adding a shotgun as well as investigating whether doing weapon animations is feasible (it's a lot of work like the character so no promises, but I'll see if I can relatively easily add them in).
- Patch 1.1 Patch LIVE - AI Survival Mode - 15 August 2018
What's New: - AI Survival Mode v1 has been added! Survive as long as you can against increasing waves of AI drones! - Damage Indicators showing you which direction you've been shot from have been implemented. - Floating Damage displaying how much damage you've dealt have been implemented. - Critical Hits have been implemented, hit the AI Drone in the red center to land a 2x damage critical shot. Notes: - This is a v1, so it's far from finished/polished. In particular, there's no way for you to customize how hard the AI is. In v2, I'll be adding more options to the mode to allow you to customize how hard (or not) the AI is, depending on what you want to practice! What's Next: - Next up is v2 on the AI mode, some overall polish, as well as v2 some of the older modes like Edit Race which needs an update now that all the Edit options are in!
- Patch 1.09.2 - New Delete Structure System - 14 August 2018
What's New: - Delete Structure System has been entirely rewritten to be faster, without lag spikes or crashes! Notes: - Anytime I change something this large, there's always the possibility of new bugs. If you see structures delete that shouldn't have deleted, or see floating structures that should have deleted, etc., please let me know so I can reproduce and fix! What's Next: - Work on the AI Survival Mode is almost done, just fine tuning at this point!
- Patch 1.09.1 LIVE - Assault Rifle Updates - 12 August 2018
What's New: - Continued updating the Assault Rifle for the upcoming AI Survival Mode. - Assault Rifle Sound has been changed. - Aiming Down Sights was changed to a camera position zoom rather than a FOV zoom. - Camera was updated to reflect the ADS zoom changes. Bug Fixes: - Editing during a Reload is no longer bugged. What's Next: - Work on the AI Survival Mode is almost done!
- Patch 1.09 LIVE - Assault Rifle v1 - 9 August 2018
What's New: - Assault Rifle v1 has been implemented in preparation for the upcoming AI Survival Mode (the update does not include animations and models). - Aiming Down Sights is now supported and has a customizable keybind (Right Mouse Button). - Reload is now supported and has a customizable keybind (R). - Ammo is now supported and has an associated UI. - New sound, bullet tracer effect and hit particles have been implenented. What's Next: - Work on AI and the Survival Mode is relatively far along. - AI can shoot the player and surrounding structures, as well as take damage from the player (with floating damage indicators). - Next up is making the AI a little smarter, and working on the increasing "waves" of AI over time.
- Patch 1.08 LIVE - 1 August 2018
What's New: - Structure Health has been added, as well as Player Health, in preparation for the upcoming AI Training Mode. - Structures Take Damage now, rather than simply delete. - Weapon Damage has also been added with the weapon causing 30 damage (Grey Assault Rifle), also in preparation for the upcoming AI Training Mode. Fixes and Tweaks: - Stairs were being drawn too far below the player when trying to "catch" with a Stair, this has been fixed, making catching yourself with a Stair significantly easier. - UI tweaks to allow for Structure and Player Health bars. What's Next: - Training Mode: Survival is the next large feature. It will spawn Waves of AI to shoot at you (and you can shoot back), with increasing difficulty over time. The AI will be simple, but this will allow players to practice Building and Editing while under Fire, while also allowing for basic Aim practice as well a…
- Patch 1.07.1 LIVE - 30 July 2018
What's New: -Stair Edit Arrows have now been added. Bug Fixes: -Corrected a bug that caused "Phasing" to not working correctly on certain Spiral Stair edits and when players were under Stairs in certain positions.
- Patch 1.07 LIVE - 29 July 2018
Big Stuff: - Destruction by Edit now works! When you Edit a structure and it no longer supports attached structures, those attached structures will now correctly be Destroyed! Details: - For example if you place a Wall, and then a Ceiling on top of it, if you Edit the Wall and turn it into a low horizontal wall, the Ceiling is no longer supported and will be Destroyed. - Another example is to take a series of connected Stairs (making a long ramp), and Edit one of the Stairs in the series to Rotate. This will cause the rest of the series to no longer be supported and cause their Destruction. - The one exception is Edit Race, which will be updated in the next few patches to work with the Edit Destruction system. - Anytime something large like this comes in, if you feel something isn't working the way it should, let me know so I can investigate and fix!
- Patch 1.06 LIVE - 27 July 2018
Big Stuff: - Phasing Through Structures is now supported. It's a v1, so there may be bugs, but a structure's collision should be off if you are "inside" the structure, and then be enabled once you exit the structure. Small Stuff: - Game now properly pauses when you hit the Esc Menu. - Changed loading screen to frosted glass UI. Up Next: - Deletion through Edits. In certain scenarios, Edits should cause a structure to fail. Currently Editing does not cause deletion, and structures will simply float.
- 1.05 Patch LIVE - 26 July 2018
Big Stuff: - The Full Edit System is in! There's about 90 possible Edits (including left-right mirrored Edits), so that was a lot of work, but it's all in! - All Stair Edits are now included. Up Next: - With the Edits all in, I'll turn to implementing the "phasing" through structures system, where collision is turned off if you are standing in the structure since it makes a big difference if you're practicing things like Stair Rotation Edits and Floor Edits. - After phasing, I'll implement deleting structures through the Edit System (right now you will get floating structures).
- 1.04 Patch LIVE - 24 July 2018
The Big Stuff: - Correct Edit Collision. - Partial Stair Edits. Details: - Previously, the collision while editing was incorrectly the collision of the previewed object. Now it is the collision of the original structure edited and won't change to the new object until it has been confirmed. - Remember, because "phasing" isn't in yet, you will get odd collision issues if you rotate Stairs you are standing on in some circumstances. For now, just delete or re-edit the Stair to get out if you're stuck. Phasing will be addressed after the Stair Edit system is complete! - Stair Edit Rotations via the the Edit system work (but without the arrows, this will be added in the next patch). - Half Stairs work (single column or row along an edge). - Half Spiral (L shaped) and Full Spiral (U shaped) edits do not work at the moment, and will be added in the next patch. The Small Stuff: - Full Screen Win…
