Hi Everyone, It has been mid November (2024) last year when we last posted an update and early September since an update came out. I know it has been a long time. I have decided to release 0.3.0 now with what I have so far otherwise you will not see this update this year. I got to say that this the biggest update I have done ever for Dairy Farm Simulator. Most of this update has been doing art, making / changing maps, new buildings & objects which took a lot of my limited spare time I have. What can you expect in this release. - Where Is Version 0.2.6 ??? - 17 November 2024
Hi everyone, Now I have been trying to push at least 1 update a month to keep the flow going. So you are wondering where is Version 0.2.6 right? Is it late? Well, No, It is not coming out. Why??? Well, I am working on Version 0.3.0 instead. I am working to provide a big update and it is possible this will be the biggest update I will release to date. At present, I am still working on this update. I don't have a release date when It will come out as I have a big scope I want to achieve in the spare time that I do have. Hi Everyone, Version 0.2.5 is out now. This is another small update. I am try my best to push out more updates more often with at least one or more update a month. Just a heads up I have been messing with the save file data in this new version so you might find that it may not work with 0.2.4 saved files and you could expect this to happen in future versions. - Version 0.2.3 Out Now! - 10 July 2024
Hi everyone, Version 0.2.3 is out now. Why did it takes so long, well we have decided to move from Unity to Godot game engine so we had to port (rebuild) everything over. Their is still a few things we have left to put back in which is the milk bottle collection and day/night cycle. We have add a lot of new things as well for this release. Why did we switch over to Godot is that Unity is a bit heavy weighted in which it was slowing me down to develop this kind of game. I have found that port things over and developing stuff is a lot easier than unity and a lot faster too. So you should see more frequent updates in the future, but please be aware I am not working on this like a full-time job so please be patient. Please note that save games from 0.2.2 will not work in this version, sorry. Godot doesn't support XML. Check the forum for all the goodies of the changelog. Regards, Patrick

Hi Everyone, Happy New year and I hope everyone is safe & well. It has been a very long time since I done any work on the game or put out an update. I have been taking this time to reflect on the vision I had when I switched the development from web based to this format. A lot of people close to me said a lot of things and the one thing that stand out on what they said is : "Your game is going to get boring after a while and people will lose interest in the game doing the same repetitive things like clicking & milking. You need to the make the game more alive, more interactive and fun. Not a daunting task clicking buttons to milk cows day in and day out." Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is safe & well. Jeepers, 2 updates in a month. I thought I would try an experiment and by doing smaller updates. I would like to push more builds out more often. There is pro's and con's on doing this, but see how we go. This update is not much to it. Seasons can now update, buy 1 of 19 different sizes of water tanks (Yes, those sizes do exist in real life), and the weather page is currently a placeholder and work in progress. Hint Hint. Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a good Christmas with family and friends. While you are having Christmas, I have been working hard and long hours over the past week to bring you more content and features. Some would say that this update might not be meaty enough for you. But that is for you to decided. I got to say that is has been slow going as everything has to be built from scratch, tested, and any balancing that is required. The big major change without spoiling anything is the date/time system as it plays a major part in this version and will be expanded on in the future in which your gameplay is constrained by this system.
