- v0.16 - The "Achiever" Update - 17 August 2026
The "Achiever" UpdateGravia's getting closer and closer to release, hopefully just another couple of major releases before I'm calling it "ready" for v1.0. Today's release gets nearer to that target with new music tracks, new levels towards the end of the game, and an overhaul of the Achievements system, adding about 50 achievements, including a bunch of cryptic Hidden achievements for people to look for.New MusicEach of the five major areas of the game now has its own distinct soundtrack. Upon entering a new area, there's now also a title card to improve the sense that you're someplace new, and making progress through the game.New LevelsThis release include three new levels. "ICARUS Protocol" is found in the Research Labs area, while "Anti-Pattern" and "Vaporware" are both found in the Reactor Complex. Each of these levels hopefully adds and interesting and unique experience, and one o…
- v0.15 - The "Progression" update - 27 December 2025
The "Progression" UpdateI'm happy to announce the "Progression" update, which significantly overhauls the player experience as they make their way through the game. The two biggest changes include: AG Suit "Modules", which enhance your suit's capabilities; and the reworking and integration of the game's story into all current levels. My hope is that these changes make the game feel more cohesive, give players something fun and cool to look forward to, and keep them engaged as they make their way through the game.AG Suit "Modules"The big focus of this release are the new Upgrade Modules that you'll find as you progress through the game:Now, Gravia isn't an Incremental/Upgrade game, or a Metroidvania. It's still a very linear action/puzzle experience, where you proceed through each level in a set order. But now, along the way, you'll discover Upgrades to your suit that enhance your surviv…
- v0.14.0 - Minor update to the game engine - 23 March 2025
This is a fairly small update in terms of actual features, and is mostly just an update to the underlying Unity engine to be on the latest version. Other small bug fixes and minor improvements are included.
- v0.13.1 - Major change to "Bracing" - 30 October 2024
Things just got less frustrating. Previously, you could hold the Shift key to "Brace", which would make you resist forces (like Rift forces) and stay in one spot more easily. Not bracing usually meant getting pulled into a Rift, or flung all over the place. But I realized that A) New players didn't really understand this concept, and didn't use it enough, and got frustrated, and B) By the later levels, experienced players were just holding down the Shift key almost 100% of the time, which was more of a hassle than a skill. So, with this update, Bracing is now automatic. Any time you're not actively walking in a direction, you'll automatically brace. This makes everything feel much more in control than it did before. For speedrunners, who appreciated the ability not to brace in cases where it helped them go faster, you can still have that experience, by making sure you're always holding…
- v0.13.0 - Three new levels, and major changes to the Demo - 24 October 2024
The big feature in 0.13 is the addition of three new levels towards the start of the game. Look for "Tunnel Vision", "Run the Gauntlet", and "Virtual Velocity" in the level selection list, near the top. These new levels extend the initial "Orientation Course" portion of the game, and are now included in the Demo. The Demo used to be a single level, taking maybe 5-10 minutes on average. The Demo now contains 4 levels, and is probably more like a 20-30 minute experience.
- v0.12.2 - More cutscene/story content - 19 August 2024
This release brings the story up to the end of the Advanced Training section of the game, which means about half of the existing levels now have their story content.
- 0.12.1-f2 - Bug fix for Research Labs levels - 15 July 2024
This is a minor bug fix release, which corrects a serious bug occurring in levels like "Red Shift".
- v0.12.1 - 8 new "Hard Mode" levels - 28 May 2024
8 more levels have had Hard Mode versions added. Look for them under the Challenge Modes menu.
- v0.12.0 - New story dialogues, one new level, and 6 new 'Hard Mode' levels. - 11 May 2024
The main Story now runs up through the level 'Full Swing'. One brand-new level has been added to the 'Advanced Training' section, named 'Logic Gates'. And 6 levels have been upgraded with a 'Hard Mode' version.
- v0.11 - Introducing "Hard Mode" - 22 February 2024
This update isn't for everyone... It introduces the start of a new layer of the game, where existing levels have had the difficulty ramped up to 11. Have fun revisiting familiar levels that now contain new and extreme challenges. I'm eventually planning on unlocking "Hard Mode" as a kind of "New Game+" feature, after you finish the game under its standard difficulty. But for now, in order to make it easier to get feedback from players, you'll find a new tab in the "Challenge Modes" screen. Give them a try, and don't be shy with the feedback. For now, 9 levels have been upgraded with "Hard Mode", just the levels of the Basic Assessment course. The rest of the levels will follow, most likely pairing up with adding the remaining cutscenes/story to the levels.
- v0.10.0 - Major update with the start of the Story - 26 December 2023
Character dialogue (with professional voice acting) has been added to the first 12 levels or so, with more to come in future updates. Each new major update will continue the story. This release also includes a ton of other smaller changes, new secrets, major performance improvements. Gravia now has about 65 levels, over 80 secrets to be found, with more to come.
- v0.9.3: Three new levels: 'Heat Sink', 'Firepower' and 'Stop, Drop & Roll' - 8 June 2023
This release adds three more levels in the Reactor Core area, with a new "fire tunnel" mechanic.
- v0.9.2-f1 - 26 March 2023
Just a small release with some bug fixes, visual improvements, and a bit more content in the Reactor Area section.
- v0.9.2 - One new level: "Drag & Drop" - 19 March 2023
This release adds a new level to the Reactor Area, "Drag & Drop". (Note that this level was placed prior to the previous new level, so look for it in the Level Selection if you've already played "Pair Formation".)
- v0.9.1 - One new level: "Pair Formation" - 6 March 2023
Another level added towards the end of the game in the Reactor Core area.
- v0.9.0 - One new level, "Low Maintenance" - 28 February 2023
This update mainly adds one new level: "Low Maintenance".
- v0.8.14 - Two new levels: "T-Minus" and "Lift Off" - 29 December 2022
This release mainly adds two new levels at the end of the game. "T-Minus" tests your ability with Attractor Surfaces, and "Lift Off" is... a bit different...
- v0.8.13 - Weekly Time Trial - 18 August 2022
At the top of the Time Trial screen is the option to play the Weekly challenge. This is a procedurally generated level that changes each week. Compete for first place in this week's challenge before it goes away.
- v0.8.12-f3 - 29 June 2022
Very small release in terms of functionality, but this release is the first built under Unity 2021 (compared to Unity 2019 for all previous versions.)
- v0.8.12 - One new level: "Strange Attractors" - 23 June 2022
This release adds one new level in the Core Research area, 'Strange Attractors'.
