I've been quietly working away on a number of big improvements to the game and I'm pleased to announce that version 1.0.7.0 is now available on Steam. In particular this patch addresses AI behaviour, balancing, game difficulty and a few bugs. There are also some improvements based on feedback from the community. I have seen some feedback on difficulty and it seems I underestimated the ability of certain players! So for those players looking for more of a challenge, the overhauled AI and changes to the Hard difficulty setting will hopefully provide a fresh experience. This first update is a small one to address high priority issues, I'll start to look at any longer-term improvements to the game for futures updates. Additions & Changes Ranking system adjusted for all missions. Mission result stats contributing to the overall mission rank are now given a sub-rank, which is displayed to the left of the corresponding stat. Order of displayed results stats adjusted. Hey all! Sorry there's not been much in the way of development updates for WARBORN recently. While the game is complete, I'm still working on some improvements and bug fixes for future updates. A few of these improvements will be featured in the Community Closed beta that's happening next week (feel free to sign up for it here if you haven't already! Here are some of the things I've been working on: - Match settings can now be viewed/edited (if host) from the lobby - Movement sort order adjustments when moving through tiles at different angles - Adjustments to unit movement animation speeds - Corrected positioning of some unit portraits in the status panel - New subtle nudge animations added when moving through allied units These improvements to the unit movement make things look a bit smoother as you move your Variable Armours between tiles. I'm excited to announce that we're running a Community Closed Beta on Steam for our upcoming mecha infused turn-based tactics game WARBORN! For details on how to take part, please join our WARBORN Discord channel here: WARBORN Discord The beta features the campaign mode for the game, playable up to mission 5. You’ll also be able to play Multiplayer online against others with two commanders, Luella and Izol, and even try out making your own battlefields using the WARBORN creative Map Editor. At launch, we’ll be giving away final copies of the game to the creators of our five favourite maps, and we’ll announce the winners at the end of the beta.

They just keep coming don’t they? A lot of games were announced at E3 2019, things that we didn’t know about, as well as stuff that’s previously announced, or expansions to already released games. Now, to the casual outsider, what we’re doing might seem absolutely nuts, but we thought we’d put together an alphabetical list of all the PC games that have been confirmed to appear at this year’s E3 show. - Warborn is bringing the hex appeal back to anime mech-war - 23 November 2018
I feel compelled to root for Warborn , if only because it’s helping reclaim hex-based strategy from the po-faced grognard brigade. Announced earlier this week by tiny studio Raredrop Games, it’s about giant humanoid robots with laser swords and pilots that probably shout their own attack names. Not quite Super Robot Wars (now there’s a series I’d love to see on PC), but I’ll take it. Raredrop aren’t willing to guess at a release date outside of a vague “2019” yet, but there’s a nice announcement trailer with a suitably over-the-top vocal theme below. No karaoke subtitles though.
