- Summer check-in! - 13 August 2026
Hello Champions! Straight to the point: no, we haven’t forgotten about the DLC we told you we would reveal in July. We know many of you have been waiting for that announcement, so we wanted to give you a proper update instead of just staying silent. One of the things we’ve always cared about with this community is delivering what we promise. We built this journey together by sharing plans, roadmaps, and goals, and we’ve always delivered what we've promised. At the same time, we’ve always followed another rule: we don’t announce things until we know they are ready to be announced and delivered. No empty promises. No hype just for the sake of hype. And the DLC is no different. So, here’s the news: the DLC announcement has been moved. But here’s the important part: this is not because of problems, delays, or because something went wrong. Actually… it’s quite the opposite. The DLC is almost…

Hello Champions! Today we're proud to release Spellcraft, the new major free update for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms, officially bringing the game to version 2.0. Over the past months we've worked closely with community feedback, focusing on some of the most requested improvements since launch. The result is an update that touches almost every aspect of the game, introducing new content, improving existing systems and making the overall experience more polished than ever before. To celebrate the release of Spellcraft, Alaloth is now available with a 50% discount. Check out the trailer! MAGIC & MORE The heart of Spellcraft is, unsurprisingly, magic. - Alaloth 2.0 is right around the corner! - 26 May 2026
Hello Champions! Today we are finally ready to officially announce that Spellcraft, the next massive free update for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms, will arrive this June. This is not just another patch. This is Alaloth 2.0. As previously revealed, Spellcraft is the biggest systems-focused update the game has received since months, centered around a fine tuning of magic and the endgame experience, both rebalanced from the ground up. But that's only part of the story. Over the past months we’ve listened carefully to feedback from the community, collected data like never before, analyzed player behavior, progression, engagement and pain points, and worked relentlessly to improve the experience across the board. Spellcraft is where all of that converges. This update represents a new peak for the team, and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone at Gamera for the passi…
- Spellcraft is coming, more updates, more surprises, a big year ahead! - 6 April 2026
Hello Champions! Easter was yesterday, hope you all had a great day with your families. And if you were working, I hope it treated you well regardless. We’re still off at the studio today, so I’m taking the chance to sit in the garden with my laptop and write this.March has been an incredible month for Alaloth, the best one we’ve ever had, excluding Early Access launch and 1.0 launch. Looking back at it now, years later, it’s even clearer how much circumstances slowed us down back then… and yet, despite everything, we managed to build something that still feels unique on the market. Lately, I’ve seen more people talking about “isometric soulslikes.” Funny how that started happening well after us. Alaloth carried the studio on its shoulders. Update after update, it kept growing, and it allowed us, with the new year, to finally structure ourselves a bit. What used to be a small team of 6…

- Version 1.4 arrives with new content and combat refinements! - 10 March 2026
Hello Champions! The Northwind Update is now live, bringing Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms to version 1.4 with a new round of improvements, content, and balancing. With this update we are closing the melee combat rework that started with the Balefire update. Based on community feedback, we’ve continued refining the system and updated swords and warhammers, bringing them in line with the overall combat balance. At the same time, we are currently focusing on magic optimization. Spell systems and numbers will continue to be refined in the near future, again guided by your feedback. NEW CONTENTS As with every previous update, we’ve worked not only on numbers and systems, but also on new content. Northwind introduces a new quest line, a map expansion with a new FA: Skarhjem and a new boss fight. This new story builds upon the existing lore of Kariasha, telling the tale of two legend…
- A cold wind is rising! - 19 February 2026
Hello Champions! We’re happy to officially announce Northwind, our next free update, landing soon on Steam and GOG. Northwind brings another major round of balance updates, continuing the work that began with the melee combat iteration shortly after release. This update marks the final phase of that balancing effort, a last polish pass on core combat systems before we turn our attention to magic and endgame tuning, following community feedback. Think of it as the cold, steady wind that sharpens steel before the next storm. When Northwind launches, we’ll also reveal the first concrete details of the upcoming DLC, including its official name and release window. Yes, it finally has a name! It’s also been a big few months behind the scenes here. After long discussions and careful planning with a major player, we've entered a new phase. The team has grown from 6 stubborn, battle-hardened dev…

We’ll be announcing it soon, right after the holiday break. As mentioned before, after setting aside the slowdowns of the past months (for reasons we’ll explain in due time), you can finally expect real, concrete news. - Alaloth 1.2 is here with our latest free update! - 8 December 2025
Hello Champions! We’re excited to finally unveil Balefire, Update 1.2 for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms. As you know, throughout the year we’ve alternated content-heavy updates with patches focused on revamping systems and adding features requested by the community. Balefire sits right in the middle: a wealth of new things to play through, while also laying new foundations for what’s coming next. A NEW CAMPAIGN The core of Balefire is claiming Aethrakar, a single, dangeours FA designed as a relentless gauntlet of challenges. Just pure, brutal, fights through one of the harshest trials ever introduced in Alaloth. But this is not just a gauntlet. It is the stage for a new piece of lore linking elves, orcs, and an ancient threat long thought forgotten. When the Tempest tore through Plamen, its cataclysmic surge awakened something buried for ages, an ancient evil sealed away by an…
- Just a sincere thank you and hints of what’s coming next! - 21 November 2025
Hello Champions! Today marks the first anniversary of Alaloth’s full release. It’s a special milestone, but we’re choosing to celebrate it in a slightly different way. Usually, anniversaries come with big events, loud announcements, and all sorts of fireworks. This time, however, we’re keeping things deliberately low-key. Part of it is simply who we are: we’ve always preferred letting the work speak for itself. Another part is tied to reasons we can’t fully reveal just yet, but soon. Over the years, we’ve communicated constantly and openly with our community. Recently, that communication has slowed down a bit, even though development has never stopped for a moment. Massive updates have continued to land, systems have been reworked, and the game has grown far beyond its original frame. Behind the scenes, even more has been happening. Balefire, our next major update and the beginning of v…
- A new free update emerges from the ashes! - 3 September 2025
Hello Champions! It has been some time since our last major communication following the release of Sigil and Alaloth 1.1, and while the summer months may have appeared quiet, the truth is that work has never slowed. Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy shaping the next steps for the game, and now the time has come to share a glimpse of what lies ahead. The most immediate news is the arrival of Balefire, which is now deep in development and approaching release. We don’t yet have a final date to share, but it will not be long before it is announced. Expect meaningful QoL improvements and a significant round of balancing based directly on the feedback you’ve provided since 1.1. Alongside this, a host of small tweaks and fixes will smooth out the experience even further. The update will bring Alaloth to its 1.2 version and will introduce a brand-new quest line, that brings with it fresh lore,…

- A complete revamp of progression, significant combat balancing and much more! - 16 June 2025
Hello Champions! Following the first two free post-launch updates, Wyrmwood and Rogue Waves, we’re excited to release something much bigger: the Sigil Update. A milestone update that brings major changes under the hood, reshaping how Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms plays at its core. Sigil focuses heavily on revamping key systems, reworking numbers, and rebalancing the entire experience. But don't worry, there’s plenty of new content too: quests, items, weapons, armor, and new characters are all part of the package. However, the most significant change comes with a complete overhaul of the leveling system and enemy scaling. When Alaloth first launched, the level cap was just 4. It then increased to 10 during Early Access and reached its intended final state with 1.0: 20 levels. Over time, players have shared valuable feedback about the difficulty curve, steep and punishing at fi…

Hello Champions! First of all, a massive thank you for the incredible feedback we’ve received following the Rogue Waves update! Your continued support and detailed suggestions help us push Alaloth even further, and it’s thanks to your dedication that we’re shaping a better experience patch after patch. We’re happy to confirm that work on Sigil, our next major free update and version 1.1 of the game, is progressing smoothly, with a release locked in for June. Sigil will include a long list of QoL improvements inspired directly by your feedback, a rework of core systems , and of course, brand-new content to further expand the vast world of Plamen, now bigger and more ambitious than we ever imagined. Today’s update, however, focuses on some long-awaited features we mentioned shortly after full release: the official launch of Alaloth: Tales and, by popular demand, the arrival of Steam Commu…

- The Iron Shoals await! Discover a new kingdom of tides, trade and treachery... - 5 May 2025
Hello Champions! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Rogue Waves, a new free update for Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms. This exciting addition introduces a brand-new non-kingdom location: The Iron Shoals. Located in the Sea of Solitude, this archipelago is governed by sailors and pirates who follow an ancient code of honor. For years, a regent has kept the Shoals safe by working with the kingdoms, but the tides of change have brought new challenges. While the pirates still carry the spirit of their swashbuckling past, their actions have become more regulated, focused on contract work and keeping the peace. However, a new threat looms in the form of Vexx, a bloodthirsty pirate whose attacks on the commercial routes between Baga and Edherest have jeopardized the safety of The Shoals and its people. The stage is set for new adventures, and it's up to you to navigate these tre…

This update is called Rogue Waves, and it brings a fresh, exciting chapter to the game. In Rogue Waves, we’re introducing a whole new non-kingdom: The Iron Shoals. An archipelago located to the south of the known world. This new area is a place of mystery, danger, and opportunity, and it’s the perfect backdrop for your next set of adventures.
