- Truer than You is out - a spiritual successor to Knife Sisters - 16 July 2025
Truer than You is about love and loss in late stages of Capitalism. Focusing more on roles in society than exploration of interpersonal relationships, it still has many similarities with Knife Sisters, both in how the game functions and topic-wise. The game focuses on roles and relationships, and features a non-binary main character called Rin.Rin arrives in an unfamiliar city, to start their new position at a company that rents out actors for real life situations. This is the start of a new life, far away from the daily struggles at the small island - but as Rin takes on their new endeavours, their past is catching up with them. Soon they’ll have to deal with who they are and will become. Check out the game here:
- EA have removed Rocket Arena from sale without much warning - 16 November 2023
Rocket Arena , the third-person hero shooter published in 2020 by EA, has been removed from sale without much warning. So far neither EA or developers Final Strike Games have given a reason for the delisting, but you can no longer buy it from its Steam or EA store pages. Read more

- Rocket Arena blasts off today - 14 July 2020
A lot of people are going to describe Rocket Arena as “Quake meets Smash Bros”, and they will be accused of being lazy while also being 100% right. The concept and the name started as a Quake mod, after all, although it’s now it’s own separate thing published by Electronic Arts. This modern incarnation is a 3v3 shooter, out now, with class abilities and rocket-based weapons that Sin somewhat disappointingly describes as “functionally much like regular guns”. You win by knocking your opponents out of the arena, rather than making them explode. Sin enjoyed doing this several weeks ago, though, and I think I probably will too. Even though my brain insists this should be free-to-play and it actually costs £25. (more…)
- Rocket Arena's first season fires off later this month - 11 July 2020
Cannae be having a hero shooter without heroes, can we? Ahead of its launch date next Tuesday, Rocket Arena has shown off more of its bouncy blasty gunfights with two new trailers – one for the expected, eccentric cast of rocket-toting characters, the other for the maps they’ll be blasting each other out of – alongside plans to add even more maps and a new hero when the first season kicks off a few weeks after launch. - Rocket Arena preview: hands on with the new EA Originals 3v3 arena exploder - 18 June 2020
I don’t like rocket jumping. It is silly. And yet, I had a good time with Rocket Arena , the upcoming online shooter, when I played in a closed preview event a bit over a week ago. It’s coming on July 14 from Final Strike Games, via little known indie publisher Electronic Arts. The original version of Rocket Arena was a mod for Quake, which your dad will wrongly tell you was about more than just being brown and overrated. Its popularity led to spin off mods in pretty much the whole series. The general idea was to level the playing field, removing health and weapon pickups, and giving everyone the same equipment. Interestingly, the new, standalone Rocket Arena is almost the opposite of that concept, as it’s a class-based shooter with a form of regenerating health. But then, it’s been decades. Online shooters are a different world now. Which raises the question of…

Now, to the casual outsider, what we’re doing might seem absolutely nuts, but we thought we’d put together an alphabetical list of all the PC games that have been confirmed to appear at this year’s E3 show.
