A new surf game is coming out this summer of 2024 - Surfers Code. It hasn't been posted yet and is not available to the public. You are invited to a preview play, and for your participation you will get a Steam key to the new release with all the future updates and released version when the final version releases. - Bonus Content For Current Owners - 18 January 2023
There have not been updates for a while, and I'm excited to make the new content available. It has been added as a separate button on the store page to sign up for playtesting. Playtesting allows you to load and play the game for as long as it is up on the page. The plan is allow access at least until Summer. The new updates will be available for PC only, but it's really good, so hopefully you got a good new PC over the holidays. Development on The Endless Summer Search For Surf has been continuing for many months now, but without updates. The Endless Summer "Surfing Challenge", the same one that is on Steam, was also released on the Windows store so you could play it on Xbox. The Endless Summer Surfing Challenge is already included in The Endless Summer Search For Surf. No need to buy it if you already have Search For Surf. The Endless Summer Surfing Challenge has 12 single player challenge rounds and two player contest. Learn to surf, complete the challenges, try all the players and the POV camera and have two player contests with a friend.

Some computers were experiencing a black screen on start. Game running but with a screen all black except the UI. This is a new build of the same game. If you don't have the problem then there is no need to update.
- More Realistic Action - 30 March 2022
Updated the surfer movement to be more realistic. Now arms will move with the body to do turns and carves. The players are no longer shiny. I know, they're in the water so they should look wet, but instead now they have a more realistic look to them. Let me know if you like it. The board trims. As you surf across a wave your board would turn flat to the wave with no control. Now you board will adjust so it's flat to the ground when trimming sideways. This is more like real life surfing, and will allow you to cruise more on slow sections, and just in general, especially for tube rides. Try it post some pics and invite a friend to play. You can send an email link to a friend and they can play doubles with you even if they don't have a Steam account or the game.
- Bug Fixes For Last Recent Big Update - 16 March 2022
This is a minor fix to the recent big update. Game started with controller configured and now starts as a keyboard setup. Other mostly minor UI button changes.
- Challenge Levels Added - 15 March 2022
Learning to surf has been made easier. If you want to surf better and learn more maneuvers, you can play the challenges. 12 new challenges have been added. From riding time to tube rides, now you can try the increasingly difficult challenges or skip around and try different ones. Want to practice tube riding, go to level 7 and play the same wave until you get it wired. Learn how wave scoring works through practice chat and experimentation. Switch back to the open world and continue your adventure the same as before. Two player contests in the challenge rounds uses a new AI camera system that zooms in to the standing player or out to keep both surfers in view. There's a new game in town, er I mean on Steam. - A Change In The Weather - 2 November 2021
There are a couple of new changes that you may notice. The weather should look a little different with more spectacular sunsets. The water may look a little more tropical. There have been some environment tweaks and along with that come some performance improvements. You may notice some improvement on slower computers especially when playing two player. Cape St Francis, the perfect wave in The Endless Summer is now what the lighthouse break is called, and there's a nice sign there near the dock to let you know where you are. BEGINNERS - More Help is Built In... Helper buttons are on by default. The main reason for this update was to turn on the helper buttons for beginners. Helper buttons are the interface on the screen that display to show you which buttons to use and what they do. They were not turning on by default at the start of the game. The water spray has been improved to throw realistic spray for schwacks and airs. Try it and post your new pics. More detailed water sounds bring you into the game. No you can't smell it, but you can imagine you can smell it. More realistic effects mean more immersion into the atmosphere. Play free days continue.
