- Frog Detective Language Update - 10 May 2025
Hello frog fans, I’m very pleased to announce today that Frog Detective is now available in Japanese! We’ve been working hard with 8-4 to make the translation as true to the original as possible so more people worldwide can solve the mystery too. I’m super proud of the work the team has done and though I can’t speak or read the language myself, I saw all the symbols and thought to myself “I bet that would be funny if I could understand it!”. Luckily for me the game is also available in English which I understand pretty well. Whichever language you choose to play in, I hope you enjoy our silly little series and maybe even figure out whether crime is real! All the best, Grace Bruxner

Hello…….. It has been a while….. It’s because we forgot about the Steam news feature…… But here we are again…… Okay, here is an update for you! No, it’s not another game. You can leave angry comments all you want, I’ve taught myself how to not read so it won't be an issue for me. Australia is still burning, but over the last couple of days they’ve actually had some rain ! While this is a big help to certain areas, there are still 83 fires blazing around the country, and there’s a lot of people and wildlife still in trouble. It’s good job then that there are even more game devs, companies, and communities banding together to help out our friends down under. A new Humble Bundle, a donation from the makers of Warframe , and a charity initiative run by Eve Online players are just three more ways the games industry is raising money, and you can get involved to show your support too. - Frog Detective 2 is out!!! - 9 December 2019
Oh my gosh!!! Hi everybody!!! We have been working so hard all year to finish this silly game, and it's out now. E3 is over, and we’ve got all that mega-budget fluff out of our system, so let’s get weird again. There’s a big summer sale on over on Itch , which has rapidly become my favourite games store. While the bulk of the discounts run until July 1st, there’s also the Itch.io Summer Selects Bundle available for one week only. It contains six hand-picked games for $9, which, all but one, I can vouch for the excellence of. While SUPERHOT may be the headliner, it also includes low-fi unsettler Paratopic and anti-fascist gay disaster road trip adventure EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER , which has to be written in all caps. - The Case of the Invisible Wizard is a forthcoming frog detective adventure - 10 March 2019
The Haunted Island: A Frog Detective Adventure was a short and adorable experience that made our list of underrated games from 2018 . It was all about talking to animal people and solving simple puzzles while chilling to piano tunes and generally having a nice time. Now its creator, indie dev Grace Bruxner, has announced a sequel. Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard, will be out later this year.  The trailer makes it look like a similar balance of whimsy and gentle spookiness only this time there's a lion, a zebra, and a rhino among the animals in the mix. It seems like the gloriously pointless magnifying glass will make a comeback, and I'm holding out for a cameo from Lobster Cop, the off-camera legend from the first game.

Bruxner has announced Frog Detective 2: The Case Of The Invisible Wizard , a spooky new case for our frogfriend to investigate in Warlock Woods. Hi folks!! https://i.imgur.com/nj6EYlR.gif The game has been out for over a day now and I just wanna say a huge thank you for all of the kind posts, reviews, messages and art that have come out in the last 24 hours. It's a great thing that a short and silly game like mine can safely have a home on Steam amongst larger and more complicated games. Developing this game has been wonderful and I would like to acknowledge the hard work of Thomas Bowker who did the programming and tools development as well as the outline shader that has been super popular. Tom is an extremely good egg and deserves a bunch of credit. I would also like to thank Dan Golding for creating an iconic and catchy soundtrack. Every time I got a track from Dan I lost my dang mind!! He's a genius!! I'm super excited to start work on the second game in the series. I hope I can get it to you very soon. :-) Thanks again!!!!…
