Latest Steam announcements

  • Small Leaderboard Fix - 8 May 2023

Just a patch to fix the leaderboards for the hidden speedrun mode.

  • 3.03 Patch and Thanks!!! - 16 March 2023

Just a small patch. This fixes the awful volume set to 0 bug, some puzzle improvement, and minor refined animations. I had thought I fixed that bug 4 years ago, but I guess not... Anyway I also wanted to use this announcement to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone! I never thought this game would be as popular as it is and for so long! Thanks for all your support over the years! https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/9d2b2daa-92b3-45d0-b52e-b224d267400f/dfrv9sy-ac1ed70d-9547-4023-8202-1278fc0b8afd.png?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7InBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcLzlkMmIyZGFhLTkyYjMtNDVkMC1iNTJlLWIyMjRkMjY3NDAwZlwvZGZydjlzeS1hYzFlZDcwZC05NTQ3LTQwMjMtODIwMi0xMjc4ZmMwYjhhZmQucG5nIn1dXSwiYXVkIjpbInVybjpzZXJ2aWNlOmZpbG…

  • OST file fix - 14 March 2020

Files not being downloaded after buying the OST has been fixed. As Steam went to the new OST system I thought I had converted everything accordingly and even though the files were uploaded, Steam did not think there was a build that contained the files. I just learned of this today and everything should be fixed now.

  • Small Christmas update - 21 December 2019

Christmas Alert! Nezumi Testing is now festive in the new update! This was really last minute so it's just Nezumi Testing and Sotiris. Don't worry if you miss it, you can still see it by changing your calendar to December past the 15th.

  • Small 3.0.1 patch in "testing" - 18 October 2019

You can opt into the testing beta to get this patch now, or wait and it'll be available tomorrow if nothing is wrong with it. Here is the list of bug fixes: Shoggoth not noticing the player. Controller support in Tape 6. Hole in geometry around Tape 6 ladder. Motion blur not turning off. Gamma not resetting and staying 0 - (This should be fixed as I've made the reset trigger more sensitive and happen more often, but it also should not have happened in the first place) Mersus Tape enemies added to the gallery of light. New game plus subtracting on early in-game death.

  • Update 3.0 - 15 October 2019

The first Mersus Tapes update is now released! 3.0.0 2 new tapes are accessible from the extras menu. The Wolf is a nightly camping trip while a beast lurks in the woods and The Way Out is a more surreal and symbolic journey written by MrKravin. Also in this update are general fixes and a new main menu, and I've made a beta that you opt into called "2.2.0" should for any reason this newer version not work for you or if you just want the old menu.

  • Mersus Tapes - Upcoming free content update - 4 October 2019

The Mersus Tapes is a free content update coming out soon that includes 5 additional lost tapes that you can access from the main menu. Everyone has supported this game so much that I decided to make the DLC a free content update instead. I will be releasing the tapes a few at a time as they are completed. 2 have already been finished and will arrive with the next update that also adds a new main menu. This update is already available in the Patreon beta, but will release as soon as it’s certified (mostly) bug free.

  • Update 2.1.1 is out! - 15 April 2019

New secrets, bug fixes, and a randomized enemy mode are now here. The new mode shows up after you've beaten new game plus and can be accessed by pressing the right key on the new game selection. This mode is meant to enhance further playthroughs after new game plus and add a lot of variety for players who think they've seen everything and includes a few new enemies and spawn locations.

  • Patch 2.0.2 - 27 February 2019

Patch 2.0.2 is out. Fixed shadows on new knife skins. Fixed a hole in the last level. Quarantined an area people kept getting stuck in. Fixed skybox not showing in midnight mode.

  • Update 2.0.1 is live! - 22 February 2019

The entire game has had a slight overhaul, fixing bugs and minor details, adding volumetric fog and new reflections, and a few new features like being able to skip the intro and adjust the FOV have been included.

  • Update 2.0 is here, for testing! - 19 February 2019

Update 2.0 is finally out in some capacity! This update is built on a new version of Unity and the whole game has had an overhaul of polish. There is a new reflection system, volumetric light system and a lot of small tweaks and bug fixes. And an FOV slider is now included in the options for people with motion sickness. This new version of Unity also should fix the alt-tabbing issue that the old Unity had. Plus Steam achievements can be unlocked for getting the different endings and finding the secret modes. To try it out though you’ll have to opt into it by right clicking the game in your library, clicking on properties, betas, and finally selecting as the beta to opt into. This is because even though I have fully gone through the game and made sure there wasn’t any bugs, there is a good possibility that I’ve missed some. After a week of it being out in , provided nothing major ends up…

  • Upcoming Major Update - 14 February 2019

Version 2.0 is soon on it's way! I'm about 87% done with a new major update that overhalls a lot of the game and introduces achievements. You may see these achievements already but until the update is out I'm sorry they will not be unlockable. I had to publish them in order to make sure they work. After I am done with the update I will publish it in a (opt in) beta for a week to make sure there are no bugs that I've missed and then make it the default build. When the update is out in beta I will publish another announcment with more information about it.

  • 1/10/19 News - 10 January 2019

Hello everyone! Just here to post some brief info on what’s going on for Lost in Vivo. Right now I’m working on a new update with an FOV slider for people who suffer from motion sickness, more subway train bug fixes, and I’m also trying to update the engine as well, to fix that alt-tab issue. This update is going to take me quite a while to finish, and until it’s done I won’t be able to release small patches but I’ll work on getting it done as soon as I can. The holidays and a recent jury summons was really messing up my working schedule, but now everything is back on track.

  • Update 1.3.1 - 14 December 2018

Update 1.3.1 is out! A new shotgun skin has been added and now weapon skins will actually change the stats, a new hidden boss has been added somewhere, and many bug fixes are all in this update. 12am mode has also been slightly re-balanced and fixed. The new shotgun skin is based off the shotgun in the Evil Dead series. It holds only two rounds instead of 7 but can fire quicker and does more damage, this is helpful if you're trying to conserve ammo. 12am mode's leaderboards have been fixed, apparantly only the first 32 names would appear on it, now the limit is 512. The health pickups in this mode have been doubled. The train sequences now have a failsafe installed if it doesn't correctly load in the next area.

  • Update 1.3.0 - 22 November 2018

Update 1.3.0 is up! The ability to re-bind the flashlight key, invert the mouse, and turn of film grain have been added. Some slight bug fixes, and a new hidden level for "LIT" players has been hidden in the menu.

  • Some Bug tips. - 20 November 2018

Some of the audio clips are way to loud because some of the sounds still bypass the in-game volume slider. To make sure all sounds adjust the same I'd recommend you only adjust your system volume instead. The game was made to sound well at 60% system volume. I'm still finding and fixing these sounds to the in-game slider. I am adding an invert option in the next uppdate along with the ability to bind the flashlight to other keys. I'll get these updates to you as soon as I can. Thanks for reading, KIRA

  • Horror game Lost In Vivo undergoes a midnight metamorphosis - 12 November 2018

All screenshots courtesy of Dillon Rogers . Lost In Vivo is a first-person horror game launched last month by Akuma Kira and clearly influenced by Silent Hill. You explore dark tunnels, solve puzzles, fight strange creatures and search for your missing dog. That’s spooky enough by itself, but last night Gloomwood developer Dillon Rogers and Dusk developer David Szymanski got more than they bargained for – quite literally – while playing through the game. They tried playing it after midnight, and it transformed into something else entirely. Below, a trailer and a peek at the strangeness that was uncovered in the night. (more…)
