Hey all! I have been incredibly absent lately and I am sorry for that. I have had a lot happen in my personal life including eye surgery that makes programming difficult currently. It is getting easier and I'm doing more work than I was but soon I will return to work which will eat a lot of my time again. I am busy porting Homestead over to GMS2.3 for maintained compatibility in the future. I will be making the BETA branch available on Steam in the next few weeks to get some testing done. There's a bunch of strange issues I'm working on fixing, so no new content for a while. Sorry for the absence, thanks for stopping by!

I forgot to tick a box somewhere in the last few builds, and that box turned on Steam Achievements.... The newest patch should be up within a few minutes of me posting this. Sorry for any trouble this caused!

Homesteadians, hello! Yesterday I released a small bugfix to the game to crush some very annoying oversights on my part. Today present the Sprinkler Update.(that's a joke, don't call it that) This Update introduces a new Side Quest, a new item, and several new quality of life improvements! Side Quest - Sprinkles Find out how Gary kept the Homestead running and gain the knowledge to do it yourself Sprinklers is the answer, and the new item introduced in this update Chest Storage - An infinite chest to store all your items you just don't need right now! Shipping Box Management - Open up the Shipping Box to grab that item you didn't mean to put in! How to Play - A new option under the System Menu that shows you pointers on how to play A few bugs I missed yesterday have also been fixed Freya vanishing if reloading after completing A Voice in the Night Mailbox making GUI overlap in ugly ways…

Hello Homesteadians! I am slowly but surely working on getting more content built for the game. I have a long list of things that need to be added and fixed. No new stuff this time around, just fixed some stuff that was making the game unplayable. FIXED: Certain items using wrong sprite in inventory and hotbar Not being able to clear Wood and Stone items from farmland Fixed Wood and Stone spawn rates, your farmland should be safe now There is also a new gift at the Post Office, a Basic Hammer to help clear away those rocks that built up on the farmland. Sorry about the lack of interactivity with the community, I've gone back to work recently and it's insane. I have fixed the following bugs: -Gender Select crashing game. -Default music volume being VERY loud. -Mailbox issues have been resolved. -Bed now shows Use indicator. I apologise for the lack of updates, and am trying to be more active. Thanks for your continued support!

Hello Homesteadians, This has been a difficult decision for me, but I have decided to go ahead and push the admittedly feature incomplete version of the game. I am hoping feedback from y'all will help me find bugs and fix them before they ruin the game too much. I have been slow at work in my free time, and hope what little progress I have made shows through in this update. I will continue to update the game as time goes on, but please know that I do work full-time outside of this project. It's 5 years of work, and not a lot to show for it, but I promise to keep working on it to make it fantastic in the future. I hope any bugs you find are posted in the Steam Discussions so I can see them. I'm working on adding proper reporting, but I'm excited to finally share what I have with y'all. - Ramping up for Early Access Release! - 6 January 2020
Hellllloooo Homesteadians! I have been hard at work the last month or two making this game Steam Worthy in the eyes of Valve's review squad, and my last build finally passed! I still have some work to do before I actually release the game to y'all. I have been busy making sure the game runs smoothly with no crashes, so I've been playtesting like a madman. Every cranny of the game has been looked over and fixed if need be! I found a lot of bugs and crashes that had gone under the radar for a while. The state the game is in now is great, but some content needs work before publishing. So I am aiming at mid to late February for the launch now. Sorry for it being so late after the planned date. Thanks again for keeping up with me and my efforts to make a game!

It's still a bit unrefined, but I hope to make improvements as development continues. I know this screen doesn't look like a lot, but I've added a lot under the hood to make quest development super easy going forward. While I'm adding these new systems, I try to keep them as open as possible for the possibility of modding in the future. Keeping this in mind, I'm also developing tools to help use these new systems to their fullest in the easiest way possible. Modding isn't the focus of the upcoming update, but it will be available sometime after release!
