• Update 0.3.4 - 20 August 2023

  As of this update, LZ4 compression has been removed. The result of this change is that the base size of the game will increase (from 3GB to 6GB currently) but the next updates will have a smaller size, as Steam can better differentiate the changes and generate a patch with only what was actually changed. Fix player name not being displayed when returning from a match to the menu. Fix player avatar not being displayed when returning from a match to the menu. Fix newsfeed not loading after returning from a match to the menu. Add "Villaggio" level back to game Reset quality options (Only 3 quality settings for now)

  New 3D model of the "base" character, better exploits the potential of the graphics engine. In previous versions of Smoking Snakes, the character was 2 meters tall, this new character is 1.80m tall. Which is still very much compared to the Brazilian average in the 40s, but now it is more adequate, but the consequence of this is that the Cortille Polveroso map was made based on the previous scale, and the impression that remains now is that the character is a child on that giant map. • Update 0.2.0 - 17 April 2023

  In this update all the characters controller has been updated. In practice this means better collision detection on protruding objects like stairs, plus characters are now able to stay on "platforms" that move very quickly. (Imagine for example the back of a truck, or a train car) The update also includes several character controller optimizations and a modular item system, where it will be easier to add and balance new weapons in future updates.   In this new update, the graphics qualities have been optimized for better performance on different hardware. In addition, several adjustments to the interface and change of the game's icon.

• Version 0.1.3 - Uniforms Culling - 4 January 2023

  Something that always bothered me about the uniforms was the way they didn't fully cover the character's body. Especially in ragdolls, this problem was very visible and a trick used to try to hide this was to put the uniforms much larger than the player's body. • Update 0.1.2 - 4 December 2022

  A little big update! In this version, Steamworks has been reimplemented to ensure that players who access the game via Steam do not need to login to our servers, since all validations and data used can be done via Steamworks. More importantly, now the game will be accessible even in offline mode, this is a big step for the next updates where Team Death Match mode with BOTS will be included.
