Fix for constant player movement - Jun 7 2026 — Midnight Hoops Steam update #108553

I have identified and fixed a probable cause for the movement bug that many people have been reporting. Since I could never reproduce this bug locally, I can't know for sure if it is fixed until I hear from you all, but I have removed a bug where the game would identify and read input from any device that could be considered a "joystick," which includes many things that you might not expect. I believe that any player who unknowingly had a "joystick" device connected had that interfering with their movement. Now the game will only recognize Mouse & Keyboard, and gamepads (controllers). I really hope that this clears up the game-breaking issue that many of you have been encountering. If you still see a bug where you can't stop moving backwards/sideways or any other direction, please let me know!
