Depth Beta Update: Sounds, Languages, and Lobbies! — Depth Steam update #116991

It's been a while - and this is a big patch. A few major features have been in the works for months, and have finally arrived! Rebuilt Sounds and New Sound Engine Our sound guys have been working on this for months, and it's finally here! Everything about sounds has been completely re-built - a new more powerful sound engine is in use, and the sounds themselves have had a lot of work done. This means improved occlusion, positioning and levels. You can now hear bullets whizzing by your head, and gunshots can be heard at long range (even if they're quiet). With HDR sound support, explosions don't distort, and loud sounds cause tinnitus effects when they're too close. Many of the source sounds have been re-done as well, with guns like the ADS sounding far more solid. In short, Depth just Sounds Better (tm)!
