Usurper Reborn v0.65.0 - "Countdown" The first patch on the road to 1.0. The focus this time: get new players into the game fast, make the deep dungeon dangerous again, fix a big stack of player-reported bugs, and translate a lot more of the world into Spanish, French, Italian, and Hungarian. (The game is still in beta, so the title screen banner stays for now.) New Player Experience Quick Start character creation. Right after you choose a name you now get a Quick Start option: pick one of three ready-made heroes (Human Warrior, Elf Magician, or Dwarf Cleric) and your gender, and you are adventuring in under a minute. Everything else is set to sensible defaults that you can change any time under Preferences.
