Night 1 status report: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly — Otherland MMO Steam update #1575455

Hey everyone, We are going through a first rough night (or evening that is, for our american players) and we can only apologize for the launch issues. As most of you noticed, there are serious issues getting onto the servers. Many of those who are lucky enough to get in do often just fine, but the login is a major issue right now. There are players that get into the game quite quickly and play without lag or issues, some need multiple tries to get and have occasional lag spikes. However, a lot of people simply can’t get onto the servers. We have spent the past hours analyzing the situation, server loads etc. The good news is that server resources look good, we for sure have the capacity and bandwidth. The bad news is that we have a setup or even software problem when it comes to handling initial connections when many players connect at once. And while the NA servers seem to be "relativel...
