Windows Defender Fix — Makross Steam update #1583126

For those of you using vanilla Windows Defender as their anti virus software, the Makross.exe was being wrongly flagged up as malware and automatically removed. We have contacted Microsoft about this who have analyzed the file and now removed it fro their list of malware definitions. This change will gradually filter through with automatic updates to your system, but if your still getting the issue please follow the following steps to clear your definition cache and install Microsoft's latest definitions: 1. Open command prompt as administrator and change directory to c:\Program Files\Windows Defender 2. Run “MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures” 3. Run "MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate"
