Patch 1.2.3 added the following changes: - Gold is now dropped when an enemy is hit, not only on death. - Added Golden Earrings. They give +1 gold, but they disappear in a few seconds. Their function is to encourage staying close to the combat area instead of kiting endlessly. - Difficulty can be changed in the Options menu at any time. - Hard difficulty now has better loot.
