Localizations and Future Events — The Cradle of Life Steam update #399109

Another smaller development update!Over the past few weeks, one of my biggest priorities has been making Cradle of Life more accessible to players around the world. The game now supports Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, alongside English.At first, I thought this would mostly be a matter of translating dialogue. Turns out, RPGs contain… a lot of text….Menus, quests, tutorials, battle messages, item descriptions, status effects—you don’t really appreciate how much writing there is until you have to translate all of it while digging through JSON files.The game now has a proper localization system, with each language using its own translation files and fonts where needed (my current base font was too fancy for the symbols).
