Unity's UNET Service Shutdown and Online Play — Satellite Reign Steam update #575150

Unity UNET ShutdownSatellite Reign's online multiplayer component was built on Unity's UNET service. In 2025, Unity shutdown this service, disabling matchmaking in all games that relied on it. As such, Satellite Reign's online matchmaking is no longer functional. Local MultiplayerUNET's shutdown doesn't impact Satellite Reign's local multiplayer feature, and so players can still connect via LAN. It should still be possible to play online using LAN and a VPN shared with your teammates.We know this is unfortunate news, and we do apologise. Because of Satellite Reign's age, we don't currently have plans to implement a new online matchmaking feature.
