Beta patch 2.2.0.9 is LIVE! — Crusader Kings II Steam update #772622

This turned out to be far more serious than we thought, and required some fairly dangerous code to fix, so we are postponing the regular patch to early next week to give you guys a chance to test the fix and make sure it works. We also threw in a fix for the "Shia Calphate always being created early so we never get the rise of the Shia event" problem for good measure. If nothing else super-serious pops up this is what will be released as the 2.2.1 patch. Keep in mind that this is a beta branch, so there could still be bugs, crashes and odd behaviour, use at your own risk. If you want to use the beta branch, right click the game in the Steam client, choose Properties, click the "Betas" tab and select the "Beta 2.2.0.9" version of the game.
