For those who can’t run game, or game is crashing at beginning or when you press “New game”, we put different settings file in game folder with instructions (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\TropicalEscape\Settings), with low, medium, and high presets, because default settings for game is set to high. Be sure to check that you have required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and DirectX (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\_CommonRedist). Even then if game still crashing install UE4 Prerequisites Setup (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us). Loading time may increase with lower PC configurations. When “Loading screen” appears, it looks like it’s frozen but be patient. The same goes for “Black screen” at beginning after UE4 logo.
