Greetings Terrarians! So, 1.4.5.7 is out for PC, coming very soon for Console and Mobile - how exciting! We hope you all enjoy what is on offer with this latest Terraria update. The next few steps in our journey are pretty exciting, and we cannot wait to share all of that with you in the months ahead. For now, we have left a few hints in this month's developer update sections. We are currently on the road at Gamescom with the majority of Team Terraria and that has been equal parts productive and ridiculously fun. We will share more about our travels later on. Greetings Terrarians! At long last, we are pleased to announce that Terraria 1.4.5.7 is out now for PC! Terraria 1.4.5.7 is the latest and last (barring any critical fixes needed) hotfix for the Bigger and Boulder update. It has a heavy focus on balance, including stat and functionality changes to existing items and even some brand new items that we are sure you will all enjoy. Of course, while we were at it, we dealt with some outstanding bugs and more. We decided to post this update separately vs with all of the other hotfixes given its scope. We had originally planned to sync this release across PC-Mobile-Console, but with Gamescom coming up next week (more on that below), we had to make the call to get PC out now and then get Console and Mobile into submissions immediately. Greetings Terrarians! Another month in the books! It has been a hectic one indeed, between work on 1.4.5.7, doing some interviews for the Design Works book, getting ready for some upcoming events in the fall, and more. We are very ready to get what we hope will be the last (or darn close to it) hotfix update for Bigger and Boulder into your hands and then to get rolling on what comes next. Crossplay and beyond, the future is going to be a fun one. Before then, we are getting ever closer to wrapping up what has to be the largest "hotfix" type update in Terraria's history. We do think the time taken will be well worth it, as we are trying to tackle a number of outstanding topics at once. Of course, we will see what you make of it and cannot wait to hear that feedback. Greetings Terrarians! How in the world is it almost Summer already?! It feels like 1.4.5 launch was just yesterday... Our team has been head-down working away on post launch support for 1.4.5 and we really think everyone is going to enjoy what is coming soon in Terraria 1.4.5.7. You will get to see a bit more of that in the update sections below in this State of the Game. As it is balance focused, we are certain there will need to be some tweaks in what we assume will be 1.4.5.8 before we can hopefully - at long last - call 1.4.5 done and move on to the wonderful world of Crossplay.
