- Patch notes 2026-08-17 (experimental) - 17 August 2026
Hello, everyone!Today, we've got a few tweaks to the recently-tweaked Compact Water Pump, and some other helpful changes.Compact Water PumpThe Compact Water Pump is back to being 3x1, but with a slightly updated model. The 2x1 model was too compact and caused water instabilities.Changed the Compact Water Pump's specification, so Platforms and Overhangs can be placed above the intake.Bug fixesFixed a crash that occurred when you obstructed the Compact Water Pump's intake while it was working. Couldn't you have placed it correctly in the first place?Put an end to the bots' existential crisis that left them going back and forth between employed and unemployed. In the map editor, the Natural Overhang no longer uses the "uncovered" model.
- Patch notes 2026-08-11 (Experimental) - 11 August 2026
Hello, everyone!Just when you thought you’d seen everything we prepared for Update 1.1, here we are with Pillars, another cool - and Unconventional - map! We’ve also buffed Succulents and updated the Compact Water Pump to enable even more advanced water transportation setups. Enjoy!Patch notes 2026-08-11 (Experimental)As a reminder, here’s how to play on the experimental branch.MapsThe map we added today is not for those afraid of heights. On Pillars, your beavers need to survive the usual wasteland dangers while also figuring out how to best use the limited, fractured space on the upper level, with the lower area being… far from hospitable.New unconventional map: Pillars (192x192).SucculentWe’ve heard your feedback on our prickly addition to the post-apocalyptic flora. While we don’t want Succulent to break the game balance and become the primary source of water, we agree its emergency…

Please keep it coming!Patch notes 2026-07-16 (hotfix, experimental)Bug fixesFixed the overly deadly explosion radius of one of the Unstable Cores on Nomads.
- Patch notes 2026-07-15 (experimental) - 15 July 2026
Hello, everyone! We’ve got a summer-hot experimental update for you. Today’s patch features a new, very unique map as well as one of the most commonly requested additions: the Impermeable Tubeway! Enjoy responsibly, and remember to let us know your thoughts.Patch notes 2026-07-15 (Experimental)As a reminder, here’s how to play on the experimental branch. MapsThe features of Update 1.1 call for unconventional maps, so here’s one of our most original creations yet. On Nomads, your beavers may indeed need to migrate. As cycles change on the map, so does the water flow across this vast, arid land.New unconventional map: Nomads (256x256).Impermeable TubewayWe’re adding one more watertight object to the roster of new buildings. Thanks to Impermeable Tubeways, your Iron Teeth will get around the map more efficiently than ever, refusing to stop even when there’s a water reservoir in the way.New…

Hello, everyone! When we announced our first official mod competition, we were not sure what to expect. We asked ourselves: Will people care? Well, let’s just say that after reviewing all 77 submissions (*), we realized there is so much good stuff it would be so dam difficult to choose the best entries.Since this is our first mod contest, we’ve decided to bend the rules this one time only… in your favor, of course. On top of the three winners who win 750 EUR, two handmade wooden beaver figurines, a place in the in-game credits, and a special rank on our Discord, as well as the three runner-ups (250 EUR, two figurines each), our team picked seven extra honorable mentions across all categories. The honorably mentioned will each receive a sweet merch pack from us.(*) The number of mods published in the contest period was higher but sadly, not everyone submitted their work via the entry form…

- Timberborn mod-making competition is here! - 23 April 2026
Hello, everyone! The full version of Timberborn is available, and among the highlights of the 1.0 mega-update were changes to the modding pipeline. Creating mods has never been easier - in many cases, you need zero coding experience. Now it's time to up the stakes with the first-ever Timberborn modding competition!🦫 What do I do?This is our first mod competition, so let's keep it simple.
