After additional testing i have discovered that the boss could get too hard at high levels. I have tried out a few changes and settled for higher direct hit damage from the balls and a more effective self destruction. The player will now get a greater reward for killing the boss (+1 skillpoint and +1 life, if not the boss part is the last brick on the level). I have also added icons displaying what bonus the players recently have picked up and what action the boss is doing. The bonus icon is mainly to help new players to discover what bonus actually killed them or made half the level explode. New features Boss action icon. Player bonus icon. Patch 3.0 Boss update The Boss and Bossrun is finaly here. The boss is scaling with completed levels and created using random algoritms. Kill the Boss to clear the level. Boss propteries The boss is created in 1 to 10 chunks of 9 bricks. The Boss parts will support each other. Boss brick types Glowing (3 variations) Spike (Can destroy the balls.) Blue eye (Stun weapon.) Red eye (homing stun weapon.) Speedy (Balls hitting this brick will gain speed.) Ghost (Creating robots if hit by a ball.) - Stun bricks and friends - 10 June 2021
A few new bricks have been added including the stun turret and charging bricks. Diamond levels have been updated and i have moved some code behind functions to make the game use less resurces. New features Stun turret brick. (Low life, Stun weapon.) Charging brick. (Low life. Charging and destroying other bricks.) Glass brick. (Low life but high armor. Almost invisible at max life.) Mud brick. (Medium life and high armor against plasma guns.) Sand stone brick. (High life and high armor against fire.) Active brick slave. (Low life, immune to AOE.) Active brick master. (Low life, immune to AOE and activation destroyes all slaves.) Other More of the level code is only processed when the objects are present. (The CPU will only need to run the code when its needed.) - Ball Hit Power update - 30 May 2021
Patch 2.8 contains a few ball upgrades including Hit Power and slow down near the city. I have also looked into how to reduce the loading time of the levels and added some glow to the balls and the City. The game levels will load faster and high end graphical settings demand more of the GPU (shaders). New features Ball Hit Power upgrade. Ball slow down near the City upgrade. Ball max speed upgrade. Ball minimum speed upgrade. City glow (- or + life). Ball glow/tail update. Other Improved loading time of the levels. I have reduced some images to save loading time and graphical memory.

This is a major patch of MadCowBalls2 that makes the game easier for beginners and adds a choice of levels at the start of the game session. As i have been working on it for a while i may have forgotten all the bugs that was identified and solved a long the way. New features Diamond levels. Ball speed reduction near the city. Additional language support. The thank you screeen is also displayed when the user restart the game from the high score screen. Bug fixes Undertext is now displayed when language "English" is selected or identified (none, us and uk). Random level generator could in rare cases get stuck. Unkown solved minor bugs (i dont remember them anymore).

MadCowBalls2 now have support for other languages than English! First out is Svenska, Dansk, Norsk, Italiano and Français. A few things needed to change in order to make this possible and i have also updated some animations in the game. Im about the reuse the testing mode and stream the game as showcase 24/7 on Steam. The new game mode Cow Robot is unlocked after completing the Fire Cow achievement. The power up bonuses have been slightly changed to make it eaier for a new player with less bad power ups drops at lower difficulties. There is also an update on the particle system. New content Cow Robot mode (Selfplaying mode). Blended particle. Fast particle. Explosion variation (Exploding Brick). New menu Classic backround. New City backround. Changes Bad power up drop rate limit. Bug fixes Big balls no longer able to change from locked on the left to right pad on the Defender.

- Screensaver added - 2 May 2020
I have added a selfplaying screeensaver. Start Screensaver installer to configure the application. At the end of the installer the Windows Screensaver option menu should launch (Tested in windows 10). The Screensaver is a build of 2.2.5 and it loads settings from the launcher including Music and Graphical Theme, Graphics settings, Graphical Interface settngs. It is using the setting "Cheat" and therefore High Score is disabled.

This is update number 10 since the release in November last year. Gamepad support is finaly ready. It is built to handle xbox, playstation and generic controllers but the menu and launcher is not complete. If you start the game in Arcade mode there is no need for keyboard or mouse. If you open the file MadCowBalls2.ini you can edit the keybindings, Autodetect(on/off), Sensitivity and Movement Acceleration level. I will add these options in the launcher later on. The levels generated randomly now also include a secondary layer with bricks. This layer can active as a random bonus. There is also a possabilty of new secondary layers as a random bonus making it possible for a endless level (very unlikely but still possible). I have been working on several content updates for the game. This patch includes two more Cow Progress Achievements, two more soundtracks and the Soundtrack Player.
