• Dev Log #4 - 30 October 2020

  Work is currently focusing on road infrastructures, whose interest lies in the environment on the one hand, and on the other hand in the possibility of generating procedural events that will fit into the game play. This system will be strongly linked to Unreal's Landscape. I'm totally focused of the graphic part right now in order to avoid unpleasant surprises that previously forced me to do a rather severe downgrade of the game. I'm currently a bit delayed by a performance problem during the "real size" tests... Road tools The 3D models of roads (see gif 1 below) are temporary and will be replaced by realistic models.   Every 2 weeks, Dev Logs on the evolution of the game will be published on the Steam community hub, to keep you informed of the latest developments in the game. Early access is currently available on Steam. It is faithful to the description published on the store page, but, contrary to the first announcements, the detailed graphics are not there ... Too many performance problems encountered with Unity. Consequently, after careful consideration and more than 6 months of effort to achieve the desired graphic quality, we decided to convert the game to Unreal Engine so that it would be extremely complete and take advantage of the latest DX12 graphics technology.
