• Ether Loop is excellent, and I am terrible - 12 February 2020

  It is my estimation, as someone who has played literally ones of such games, that a good bullet hell should make you say two things. The first: “This is fun!” The second: “I am so bad at this!” I arrived at this conclusion after reviewing the hasty observations I’d scrawled during an hour playing top-down roguelite bullet hell Ether Loop , and realising that every single one of them could be categorised under one of these two headings.   Hey everyone! As promised, here is the first content update: an end-game endless mode. To access it, you'll have to beat the final boss. The items and and weapons you've beaten the boss with will carry on into the new mode. If you have any feedback, let me know in the steam discussions or the discord. • What's coming next? - 22 January 2020

  Hey everyone! First off, so happy with the release (no game-breaking bugs, phew), congrats to the 2 people that already managed to beat the final boss (Megatherium and 莫笑笙歌)! I'm currently making an end-game mode that will make things even more interesting once you beat the final encouter: An endless mode in which you fight as long as you can with the loot you've accumulated previously. This will spice things up as you'll be able to "hunt" for the best loot in the base game and then battle to the death in an incredibly intense mode. Along with that, will also be adding new weapons and events. The update will drop right on time for the week-end! Have a great day

• Ether Loop is about to release! - 17 January 2020

  Hey Everyone! Release date is approaching very quickly, next Tuesday at 10 am PST. I think this is the perfect time to give you guys some info on how things will unfold post-release. I've very recently added leaderboards rankings for the time taken to beat each boss, if you're interested in speedrunning or just competing with your friends you'll like this feature a lot! Could lead to adding a game mode geared towards that if the community enjoys it.
